Auwoo2 Pcs Mountian Bike Fender,MTB Mudguard, Front and Rear Bicycle Fender Folding Front MudGuard for 26", 27.5", 29" Size Mountain Bike

Just in case...I bought some lightweight mtb mudguards from a "known" brand and these low priced "Auwoo" ones as well. I fitted the known branded guards but the dimensions and pre-punched holes on the side pieces meant that the mudguard rubbed against the tire. The Auwoo ones had a choice of holes, so I could fit them perfectly. The only issue that may arise is that when fitted to forks, the side arms are short and may not provide protection to the fork suspension components (though they will stop the mud flying in your face ;-). Also you have to watch out for brake and gear cabling, e.g. attached to the frame at a similar position to the pre-punched holes - but that could happen with any design, you may need to "waste" a set in order to find what works for you. Paying "over the odds" may not lead to satisfaction. Glad I bought these.

No issues as yet after 2 rides. The rear guard covers the rear reflector fitted on the sit post. So I shall try punching a couple of hols on the sides of the guard to bring it down, closer to the tyres.

The rear mudguard fits really well and does it’s job, however the front one didn’t fit my bike, this is likely because I have 2.4” tires so it didn’t have the clearance, I’d say it’s best if you have 2.2” or under tyres

Good value mudguards that fit easily to prevent mud and water flying up from either the front or back wheels.

Fantastic, easy to fit and great carbon effect, only thing is one of the cable ties snapped, but I had replacements here
