Good for the planet
By far the best quality bamboo toilet paper I’ve had. It’s soft and strong and comes wrapped in paper so it’s good for the planet. It’s more expensive than some other brands, but it’s a thicker, more dense paper and is wound very compactly on the roll, so it lasts a lot longer as there are many more sheets per roll. I bought a different, cheaper, brand recently, but the quality is less good and we’re getting through it much quicker so I will be going back to Cheeky Panda in future.

Softer than it first appears to be, gentle on the skin, strong.
Toilet-paper is just toilet paper; right? Well, actually, there's a bit more to it than that. Recently, I've seem to have spent a small fortune buying toilet-paper that claims it's superior to other toilet-paper, only to discover that it's not. Time for a change, I thought. Let's try this Bamboo stuff. On first glance, it's quite...underwhelming; it's just like any other paper I've used in the past. It looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. But is it different? There are certain things that I want to find in a quality toilet-paper. First of all, it needs to be strong. There's no point in buying a paper that simply doesn't do what it's supoosed to do. So, it needs to stand up to the strain of being pushed and pulled and twisted and poked...all the various techniques that we as humans use to clean ourselves afterwards. And this toilet-paper does exactly that. It is strong, and it stands up to the various stresses and strains that anyone could reasonably inflict on it. It's actually quite deceptive; it doesn't look as if it should be strong - it's not padded or bulky; it actually looks thin and weak. But it's not. So...full marks here. Tick. Secondly, it needs to be gentle. There's no point in having toilet tissue that feels like sandpaper. It has to feel soft on the skin, so that even after repeated use, it doesn't aggravate the skin or make certain areas feel tender. And in this respect, it again does the job admirably. So...full marks here too. Tick. Thirdly, it needs to perform with as few sheets as possible. I certainly don't want to use more sheets of paper than I need to; I want a paper that I can use effectively and quickly and without using half a toilet roll. How does this paper perform in this respect? Very well, actually. So...full marks again. Tick. Fourthly, it needs to hold together on a roll. The last toilet paper brand I bought kept unrolling whilst it was on the holder. Every time I went in to the bathroom, there was six feet of paper trailing down from the roll, onto the floor. It just didn't want to stay together. How about this Bamboo stuff? Yep. Full marks again. Tick. Fifthly, I want white paper. Not coloured, or patterned, or fancy in any way. I just need a nice white sheet of paper. And this is exactly that. So...good again. Tick. Sixthly, I want paper that smells of paper. I don't want fancy scents or aromas, and I certainly don't want anything added to the makeup of the paper that might cause a reaction against tender skin. I have a feeling that a lot of commercially available scented paper isn't really a clever idea, especially so considering the type of skin tissue it is to be used on. I may be totally wrong in this...it's a personal choice, but I certainly want my paper to be simple and risk-free, and I believe that this bamboo stuff is right on the mark here. So once again...full marks. Tick. And finally, I really want paper that doesn't need a mortgage to purchase. Some of the papers these days are ridiculously priced. As far as this Bamboo paper is concerned...yes, it's more expensive than other papers, but given the production costs and the raw materials, I don't think it's overly pricey. I'm certainly quite happy to pay the small extra premium for it. And bear in mind too that the eco credentials of this paper are pretty good too. So, in summary, this is a decent paper to buy and use. I will certainly be buying it again. It's a very good purchase. I hope you've found this review useful. Thanks!

Best bamboo toilet roll.
It works and doesn't melt too easily. Its soft enough for everyone in the house. Never causes allergies or skin irritation. It has excellent environmental credentials so far and is almost certain to be 100% bamboo, which is why I buy it. Its a bit expensive.

No more irritation thankfully
This is a great toilet paper. During perimenopause I have had a reaction to other toilet paper so decided to see if bamboo toilet paper was better, and it is. No more irritation. Strong toilet paper and thick so you don't need to use much so it will last longer, which makes it good value for money. The packaging it comes in is recyclable so helps the environment. I will be buying again x

Perfectly good bog roll!
I really like what this company stands for and have made the swap from supermarket own brands. If you buy these packs in bulk and have the space, it's better on your wallet. The quality of the paper is perfectly fine and soft. It was a very easy switch to make and I personally think we could all make an effort to reduce our plastic waste.

Such small rolls
If you’re buying as an alternative to Who Gives a Crap or Bumboo, I’d suggest you pass. The rolls are tiny in comparison. In terms of quality, the paper is nice and soft but it just doesn’t feel like the best value for money.

King of Toilet Rolls
After personally testing over 20 different toilet papers—ranging from supermarket value packs to premium eco-friendly rolls—The Cheeky Panda Bamboo Toilet Rolls continue to stand out as the most consistent, balanced, and high-performing option I’ve used. Despite all the marketing noise in the eco tissue world, this brand remains the one I return to again and again, especially for its impressive blend of comfort, durability, and sustainability. It’s not just hype—it’s genuinely better. The texture is one of the key highlights. Some people online complain that this paper is “too thin,” but in my daily use I found the 3-ply construction more than strong enough for practical use. It doesn’t shred, tear, or pill under normal pressure, and it's surprisingly absorbent for something this eco-friendly. The ply layers are well-bonded and don’t separate easily. Unlike some bamboo alternatives I’ve tried that feel almost waxy or overly smooth, Cheeky Panda has just enough texture for proper cleaning without any irritation. In all honesty, the idea that you need thicker paper is only really relevant in very specific situations—like if you’re ill and using it extremely frequently over a short period. In everyday conditions, this performs perfectly well. I tested this across 20 different scenarios to push its limits. For example, it's excellent for day-to-day household use, including shared bathrooms. It holds up for children’s use, especially when paired with a good dispenser. It also works nicely as a makeup wipe alternative with micellar water—soft enough on the skin, doesn’t disintegrate. I used it for cleaning glasses and other delicate surfaces when tissues weren’t nearby—no lint, no scratch. Crafting or painting cleanup? Ideal. Emergency nose tissues? Didn’t shred even when damp. Even for pet care (e.g., wiping muddy paws), it performed better than cheaper tissues I had on hand. In the RV and travel bag, it packs tightly, doesn’t crush easily, and the rolls are uniform and compact—making storage practical. It worked well in my wet room which is slightly humid—no clumping, no softening while in storage. For those with septic tanks, I tested disposal and breakdown: no issues observed. I even tried composting some (as a test batch) and was impressed with how cleanly it breaks down compared to bleached or dyed varieties. On the rare occasion you might wish it were thicker—such as post-surgery hygiene care or cleaning up messier accidents—I could understand the argument for something more padded. But that’s a 1-in-100 use case, and not a reason to avoid what is otherwise a top performer. Cleaning up the packaging was another small win. There’s no plastic involved, and the box is recyclable and reusable—great if you buy in bulk. I’ve also noticed there’s no chemical smell, no artificial softness created by lotion or coating, and that’s a plus for anyone with allergies or sensitive skin. And importantly, it's ethical. I appreciate knowing the bamboo used isn’t taken from panda habitats, and that the company is pushing for closed-loop, low-impact manufacturing. All in all, this remains the best tissue I've tested across a range of situations. I’ll continue comparing other brands out of curiosity, but Cheeky Panda has set the bar extremely high, and so far, nothing else offers the same balance of comfort, eco-awareness, durability, and daily practicality. If you’re serious about switching to sustainable tissue without compromising real-world performance, this is absolutely worth trying.

Carta igienica bamboo
Questa carta è meglio di quella tradizionale. Morbida e soprattutto resistente e perfettamente eco sostenibile dato che il bambù si riproduce molto più velocemente.
