This is a fitting that slides into whatever you are using this with, usually a pump to pump the water out. **Q: I am moving my pool filter and pump away from the pool. Can these hoses be used to go from pool to filter and back from filter to pool?** A: I would say "NO". Especially from the pump to the filter. If your filter starts getting plugged, the pump will put too much force on the hose, it will expand and possibly spring a leak. This is a good hose for vacuuming out your pool, but not pressurized pumping.
