i had another brand it was a roll up but the faux leather came unglued and the aluminum slates were coming loose. I tried this style this time around. Install was a breeze! it seems durable and i have already had to make a run to the dump and had the bakflip fully up and had the full bed length full of yard trimmings. so far no issues.

I purchased the BakFlip for my 2025 Ford Lariat. The BakFlip was delivered quickly. The BakFlip MX4 was so easy to install. I had installed this in 20 minutes. I am extremely happy with the durability and flush look.

This is my second BAKFlip hard cover. Had one on my GMC which was destroyed by a falling tree during a tornado passage. After replacing the vehicle I purchased this one from Amazon and installed myself on my new Ford. This one is better and lighter than the original model. Fairly water resistant, but water from a driving rain creeps in from the tailgate area and a little on the sides. If you are carrying something than should not get wet you might consider keeping a trap as extra protection as I do. The best thing about any type of cover for your truck bed, is that once the bed is covered whatever is under the cover is out of sight and out mind. So those tempted to "take what they see" is avoided. The advantage of a sectional hard cover vs a solid or soft cover is the ability to access the full bed easily and lock it closed when the tail gate is up. This cover I found easy to install by myself in about an 1.5 hours. Watch a video, once you figure out how to mount the rails and where to run the water drain tubes it is very easy. My other cover was on my GMC for 10 years and it held up so I am expecting this one to perform similarly.

Easy to install and fit my F150 perfectly. It replaced my previous Bakflip which was an older design. The old one which was on the truck when I bought it rusted through the middle of a panel. I'm hoping that was because it had sustained some damage and not due to normal conditions. It appears that underneath the top coating is thin sheet metal. Once the coating was breached, the metal rusted, water penetrated the fiber layer in-between and rusted the bottom sheet metal resulting in a leak into the bed. I tried to repair with fiberglass resin but that failed in 9 months. The lesson is to make sure not to let anything damage or wear on the outer coating.

Absolutely awesome tonneau cover for my 2016 ford f150 5.5' bed. Installing it was a breeze and very straight forward I highly recommend this tonneau cover to anyone thinking about buying one. Keeps everything in my bed nice and dry. Important note is when installing the bed rail clamps, you really have to lock in the clamps into the rail channel so when tightening it up it pushes the rail upward so when closing the tonneau cover it locks in perfect. Fits perfect on my truck and for the price of this cover it's well worth it.

I have had the MX4 cover since December 2021 when I took delivery of my 2022 F150. The first one got replaced under warranty in May 2024 due to being completely waterlogged and couldn’t be opened. I will give them props for the warranty, but the replacement/redesigned MX4 I received is a completely inferior product. They told me this was a new and improved design, but it was clear since realtruck took over Bakflip, cost cutting is their priority. The end caps break off easily. And worst of all the latches are much cheaper than Bakflip MX4 of years ago and these new ones freeze in cold weather. DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIVE UP NORTH. I am now going into my second winter with the most recent designed MX4 and it is constantly frozen. These tonneau covers aren’t even worth 1/4 the price that bakflip charges. Will not be buying another one when I buy my new truck next year. Junk.

Far lighter in weight than the previous model I had installed on my f150. Same quality but much easier to fold back to utilize the entire space in the bed. Easy to self install and the quality of product make this a great option for covering the bed of your pickup.

I've installed this cover on my 2007 F150, 2016 F150 and now my 2024 F150 Raptor. The MX4 has always been a great cover but the fit and finish seems to get better with each newer version. The newly designed shipping packaging is very robust. It seems like it can take a lot of abuse without any damage to the cover inside. The installation instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. No need to watch any youtube videos if you don't want to. The entire job took a little over one hour. The only issue I had with this install was that the side rails were not sitting level after the clamps were tightened. I had to use small plastic wedges under each clamp to make the rails level. I did not have this issue with any of my other trucks so I'm not sure if this is related specifically to the Raptor bed rails. I cut some small plastic wedges out of spare material I had in the garage. Overall, these are great covers and I'll continue to purchase them for any other trucks I acquire.

Upgraded from the factory Ford trifold. This top is perfect. Fits excellent. Automatic tailgate opens and closes as it should with no interference. Had a major storm yesterday and the box was completely dry except for some water on the tail gate, which I expected. There is a small clearance at the tailgate to allow for the automatic tailgate release. You could adjust it closer if you need. I'm very satisfied. Looks so much better too.

Quick delivery, well packaged, no missing parts. Easy install. Looks great. Was deciding between the X4s and the M4 but I like that the M4 can be partially open. The X4s is either fully closed or fully opened. Very satisfied.

The product is not bad, however the rear corner caps are flying off easy. I lost them both. The website orders will not ship to Canada, but they are selling to Canadians here on Amazon. The website needs to be changed! I reached a nice person who sent me a pair of front and back cornel caps. I am going to glue them on!

This tonneau was delivered BEFORE 24 hours to me and I love it! After having 2 BAKFlip MX4 hard folding tonneau covers on my past F-150s and now this is the 3rd, I will always buy this one every time! It is not heavy at all, you can even open and fold it with one hand, with ease! I definitely recommend this BAKFlip tonneau cover to all my 2021 F-150 peeps! Definitely worth the price, and installation is easy! Highly recommended and piece of advice, don't cheap out on Chinese low-quality ones, you'll regret it and waste your money; even though I live in Canada but this BAKFlip tonneau cover is made in the USA!
