Very sharp (be careful) but cut through not only steak but veggies, etc. I have had a set for over a year and use the knives for most everything. I use them so much I have just ordered another set. Dishwasher safe and still look like new. Frankly, these are the best knives that I have ever owned so don't hesitate to get them. The only reminder, be careful when you first get them as they are very very sharp.
