doesn't work: updated
I filled it according to manufacturer's instructions. No ink comes out at all.updated: After six or eight attempts (shaking the pen to start the ink flow) the pen randomly started working. So far so good.

0.35 & above is smooth
If you want a smooth experience & the finest line, then the 0.35 is the best option. That is not scratchy at all & a pleasingly fine line for small details & smooth enough to use all the time.0.25 is a little scratchy, handy for super fine details, but I wouldn't want to use it all the time.0.5 is a wide line as far as these technical pens go, but still finer & way more precise than any fibre tip.I have used rotring isograph pens for 30 years. 0.35 & 0.5 isograph are the best two you can own in terms of a daily use that is a pleasure to use.then the 0.25 if you want extra fine details. (eg. 1mm tall lettering)

You can do better than this pen for the same price.
Used many of these pens - I am not a fan of this iteration. It looks ugly, feels cheap, and bleeds profusely while writing. It is also the messiest of the brands I've ever used as far as cap spills. I like a little grime like the next guy, but to have to clean ink each time I use it is ridiculous.Disclaimer, I travel everywhere with my Isographs and use them as daily writing tools, so durability and functionality are huge to me. I prefer the Faber Castell TG1S instead or the classic Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph.

Well made. A good purchase.
Well made. A good purchase. Yes these are expensive but that is just what it is. They are well made and will not disappoint you. It is clear the company took time to learn from their previous designs and applied the best into this new design. If you are in the market for a product like this then look no further. You found it.

Be careful when assembling. Will break
Good pen. Semi poor construction. Tightened the mechanism of the pen into the body reasonably tight not too hard and it broke the body. It flared out a little bit with little cracks. disappointed

The needle nib broke off my pen already.
Well it bent really hard and in bending it back I thought it would snap right off. It still works but only of I use it on one side and it's not as small....say the stippling (dots) aren't as small. More ink is coming out than should be which isn't terrible but it has caused me to buy a new pen. Let me just sat that I am very light handed but this must have been a return or something. Amazon has been sending everything to me in the exact same clear plastic bags with a sticky tape edge they fold over. They throw it in a mailer that way and off it goes. I truly appreciate the fast delivery but I have also been duped out of thousands of dollars due to a large amount of fake Tombows (before I noticed) and fraudulent paintbrushes by US companies saying they were made in China and knowing these top of the line companies don't outsource manufacturing of their beautiful products to anyone. Just make sure you all do your homework. I haven't bought anything from a third party although I know they get their products from wherever...that's on Amazon to make sure they check, but they just get the return and send it to the next guy. So just watch what you're getting and know what to look for and send it back of it's not right. This pen was great while it "lasted". I take good care of all of my art supplies. This was just another shining example of why waiting for my supplies and even paying a little less might just be a much better way I'm headed.

My favourite pen!
It's easily my best performing pen, although it isn't the most flexible. It lays down ink (which is high quality ink, by the way!) very consistently. It doesn't form blobs on either end of my lines. Thy are to be held either perpendicular or close to it to get the best ink consistency. They're also to be used slowly. Some might have trouble with this as it isn't that comfortable for some of us (myself included) with bad linework. It's hard for me to make a straight line when I'm drawing slowly. I was surprised, however, that holding it perpendiularly was a quick process to get used to. I also noticed that because the ink flows slowly, drawing fast makes it skip a little bit, similar to ballpoint pens. This makes it very useful when we want to draw something that looks like a pencil sketch. There isn't a lot of line variety, but there are plenty of nib widths to choose from. I find that I gravitate more towards this pen for professional drawings, but not without having 3-4 other isographs of different nib widths. I usually use .10, .25, .35, and .80 (this one is for filling up lots of spaces).

Conforme
J'utilise depuis longtemps le rotring 0.25.Ayant perdu le précédent, cet achat était destiné à le remplacer.Rien à redire, c'est un rotring.Bien penser à acheter de l'encre de recharge avec, vu que c'est un isograph.

An excellent technical drawing pen
Why do I have to write so many words when in the end this is just a very good technical drawing pen and does not warrant such a long review
