Cuts 6mm aluminium wire smooth like butter.
This was used to cut 4mm copper wire and 6mm aluminium wire for electroculture use and cut right through very smoothly. I'll hold onto this for future projects. Easy to use, robust, quality, good pricing. It arrived fast and got the job done easily.

Good for Specific Jobs
This isn't the kind of tool you will need in your toolbox unless you have a specific job in mind to be honest. For me it was cutting stainless steel wire rope which, I used when making a safety rail at the top of a high section of my front drive. For this job it saved me messing around with grinders and hacksaws (which are hopeless on stainless) and of course reduced the amount of tools on the job. Most of all though, in a residential area where I have inflicted enough noise on my long suffering neighbours I could avoid another power tool disturbing their peace. In use it's a smooth acting tool which ratchets closed using lever motion to reduce the arm pump. Not exactly novel but well implemented nevertheless. The jaws are replaceable which, of course is vital on a tool such as this as cutting stainless or other hard metals will eventually result in too much wear. For interest's sake I Googled the company and it is a Chinese company - although the name suggests 'Swiss' deliberately or not. That being said it seems to be a company that wants to bring to market decent quality tools ar a bearable price and it does have the usual international accreditations such as ISO 9001.Overall a decent tool that probably falls into the pro-sumer category. Good for DIY and light industrial use.

Tested on thinner wire but went through effortlessly.
I've tried this out on 3mm² stainless steel cable & it went through it like a hot knife through warm butter.Fairly small Jaws, but it's only meant to cut 6mm² square & the long handles on it do make it easy to create the force needed to make a cut.Fairly confident the thicker wire wouldn't cause much trouble either.Good set of cutters, can't fault them, all 5 stars from me!!

When wire snips are not enough you need cable cutters
Not a bad set of cable cutters. Ideal for anything where your engineer pliers would struggle or where you need a little more pressure applied. The soft feel handles are long enough to get some leverage on the cut and also work to lock closed the jaws. When the jaws are closed up they stay closed with a squeeze on the handles to get them to pop open again. Pull the handles apart to get the widest jaw opening. The jaws don’t open that wide, but wide enough to know that what can fit in the jaws is within the range of the cutting power. The scissor action is nice and flat with blade contact throughout the shear. The result is a neat and squared cut.I have chopped through some old plastic coated wire fencing which could be done with pliers or wire cutters, but it is on the limit of their cutting abilities. These cutters popped through each wire with relative ease thanks to the leverage they give. Also tried it on an old pushbike security cable and it went through the multi-strands as if it was soft copper wire. They are a good set and if you do a lot of DIY, then it is worth having a set to hand if you anticipate cutting multi-core steel cables.

Reasonably priced wire cutters -- recommended!
My engineer brother wanted these wire cutters as he is in the process of building a climbing frame for the roses we're planting to plant at a later date plus our current climbing ones; the old climbing frame has been cut so is no longer fit for purpose. This time my brother wants to use a more robust wire for the frame, 3mm steel (with a vinyl cover) so needed a wire cutter that would cut this thickness of wire; the seller says it will cut up to 6mm. These wire cutters are ideal. My brother was impressed with the look and quality of the cutters on opening the box, and says that using them is very easy and straightforward; the grip is comfortable thanks to the plastic-coated handles and the action of the mechanism is smooth. He says he is pleased with the product and so happy to recommend; he tested them on the 3mm coated steel wire and they cut it with ease. The price point of £17.99 (at time of review) he feels is reasonable for the quality and usefulness of this product to both the home DIYer and professional.

Good quality, clean cuts, does exactly what it says
I used these to cut through a 5mm fine mesh that cat proofs the back garden to top my cats from climbing into the neighbours garden that needed replacing due to a tree growing into it.These cut the square out that needed to be replaced with ease with clean cuts and no snags in under 15mins - having previously done a similar sized patch replacement with smaller cutters this was much quicker (previous time took me over 45mins and left me with arm ache and blisters).Comfortable in the hand with a long enough handle that you can get leverage if needed. The spring action helps reduce hand strain. Also used to help out my sister who managed to lose the keys to her bike chain - cut through the threaded cable on that in one snip! These are excellent value and work exceptionally well and appear of very good quality. I would recommend

Fell apart upon first use.
Waste of money. The spring flew off after the first squeeze of the grips. I wasn’t even cutting anything.

Ok
