One of the best external HDD for this price
This is my first order from amazon.ae from Bahrain and all gone well. Delivery was very fast and delivery charge & price of the product is cheaper compared to amazon.com. I didn't liked packaging from amazon because one side of the product box have dents. But inside that, transcend made good packing and that protected the external HDD. Before using to store data, I reformatted to exFat to make it work with both Windows and Mac, and then checked HDD for bad sectors. But no issues and perfectly fine. I tested read & write speed using BlackMagic Disk Speed test tool and it showing 116+ MBPS(928 Mbps) write speed and 120.1 MBPS (960.8 Mbps) read speed. It is a good speed for HDD. Mine is 2TB. I'm using 1TB for Time Machine and 1TB as exFat, So I can use that 1 TB on both windows and mac.

Do NOT buy if you want to use for Mac
The item description indicates that it is for Windows and Mac, but it is only programmed for windows. If you want to use it for Mac, you need to be a pro to first be able to convert the item to Mac. Once you do this, you lose all other functionality of the item, but yes you can can use it to store Mac files. The description is misleading as one believes you can use it as is, with all the benefits for a Mac Pc, but it is not even programmed by the manufacturing company for a Mac. Sadly I was hoodwinked!

macのtimemachineでのバックアップ用に使っています。 裏で走るジョブなので書き込み読み出し速度は気にならず、普通にバックアップは取れています。 期待通りに動いてくれているかがわかるのは、バックアップから復元するときなので、macを買い替えるまで復元で使うことなく寿命を全うして欲しいですね。 SSDよりは大きいですが、静かに動いてくれているし、USB-C接続だけで別途電源も必要ないので繋ぎっぱなしでもスッキリ使えています。
