Outstanding price for a 4-Foot 2-Light T12 Fluorescent of this quality.
Lithonia Lighting C 240 120 MBE 2INKO 4-Foot 2-Light T12 Fluorescent Ceiling Fixture, White:This review is for the Lithonia 4' (2) lamp strip lights Part # 355291. I purchased (12) of these lights and read most of the other reviews so I felt obligated to try to answer all the questions I had before purchase. This is a 120V light that will only accept the T12 florescent light bulbs.CONSTRUCTION:The body of the light is constructed of sheet-metal that measures .036" painted (22 GA), so it's probably 20 GA (.030) metal before paint. It's stamped by Acuity Brands Lighting in Conyers, GA and distributed by Lithonia Lighting (an Acuity Brands Company). It's bent from Heavy-duty channel, die-formed code-gauge steel. The channel cover is secured by captive quarter-turn latch on one end and inserts on the other, the design is universal so the cover can be secured from either end. It has a combination endplate/channel connector furnished with each fixture that has a .75" knockout at each end. The finish is high-gloss, baked white enamel. Additional information can be found at http://www.acuitybrands.com/.ELECTRICAL:The ballast is a rapid start 120V 1.00A 50/60Hz unit Part # KTEB-240-1-TP/B manufactured by Keystone Engineered Lighting Solutions in Montgomery, PA. It is a thermally protected, resetting, class P, UL listed and CSA certified ballast. Additional Information can be found at http://www.keystoneballast.com/. Sound rating depends on lamp/ballast combination.NPF Ballast Information:-Type: T12 Electronic-Power Factor: Normal-Where to use: Residential-Start time: Within 1 second-Min. Starting Temp.: 32o F (0C)- Filters: RR & EMI InterferenceBULBS:F40T12 (40W)F34T12 (34W)F40T12 (25W)F30T12 (30W)ASSEMBLY :It's assembled in Mexico, because why not, cheap labor. Assembly is still required after receipt, and the assembly instructions are on the box, though they are really not needed as its pretty self explanatory if you've ever put even the simplest item together. The light comes with a wire diagram, but it is also printed on the ballast (as with all ballast's I've seen). You have to install the sockets and the combination endplate/channel connector. The light is General-Purpose Strip contractor grade that is intended to be hard wired in, meaning it doesn't come with a cord, and if you are looking for a light you can take out of the box, install some lamps and plug it in, then this is not the light. A cord can be installed and plugged into a 120V (110V) receptacle.KNOCKOUTS:-Top: 2" Center, .5", .75", and 1" on both top ends. Two .5 knockouts on the top half the distance from the center. No offset knockouts on the center of the light (this was an issue for my installation, but I used the .75" offset knockouts on the ends).-Sides: .two 75" knockouts on the long sides and one .75" knockout on the combination endplate/channel connector.WARRANTY -- 1-year limited warranty. Complete warranty terms located atwww.acuitybrands.com/CustomerResources/Terms_and_conditions.aspx .ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:http://www.acuitybrandslighting.com/library/ll/documents/specsheets/c.pdfASSESSMENT:I didn't cut myself, of the 12 lights I installed I didn't have any bad ballast, the knock outs were similar to any you might find in most electrical applications. The 20 GA sheet metal construction is a little thin, but with that knowledge if you are careful you should have no problems. I had no issues installing or using these lights. Great price for this type of lighting. My only disappointment was with shipping, I purchased 12 of these lights and they were each shipped individually, I thought they might bundle them together. Although they all did arrive at the same time.

Comes ready to assemble with no assembly instructions/Has been replaced & works great!!!
I'm completely in the dark re assembling this "fixture" which does not match the picture. It has loose wires and parts just lying there .WQW! It's time to go back to the drawing table and learn how to assemble a fluorescent light fixture as well and connect the wires to the power source. By viewing the Amazon pic's I was able to assemble this but so far have not been able to connect to power source. The unit is made from some sort of sheet metal similar to the metal used to make garden statues of Blue Herons that is unstable . It is difficult to try to hang or install as it is wobbly so I am still working on it. The plus is it is lightweight and does not require a lot of muscle and the price is right. It requires a little more effort to make it secure and am thinking of hanging it on chains with a lot of duck tape in the corners and connecting it to an electrical extension cord with an on/off switch. The intended use is for the utility room where the old heavy steel ight has stopped working. It goes with the description of good design and workmanship but of very poor quality material. (This was returned and replacement was received on SUNDAY April 7, 2019 , was easy to assemble & works great!

Low cost. Works fine.
After reading all the reviews I almost went and spent $50+ on a similar item. But luckily I found a couple of reviews from professionals that clued me in that there's is really nothing wrong with this outside of the occasional lemon.Package arrived on time and double packed (product box packed inside of an amazon box). No damage to the packing and no damage to the product. No directions included, though I assume that's intentional because it's fairly easy to understand after 30 sec of looking at all of it. And this fixture is obviously not intended for your everyday buyer to throw up without a little effort behind it. But, with a little intuition and a couple tools this went together super easy. The housing had some slight bending that was super easy to bend back with a pair of pliers (this is the only reason I removed one star). The terminals snapped right into place without issue. The end pieces snapped right on with a little force. The cutouts to bring the electrical line into the housing pushed out with my thumb with little effort after using the back of a screwdriver to bang it a couple of times. Brought the line in and screwed the whole thing into place. Connect 2 wires and a ground. The face plate went in without issue and is secured with a clip. Works just fine on day1.If it burns out early i'll come back and update. Otherwise there is absolutely nothing wrong with this. ~25 bucks and ~15 mins to replace my recessed bathroom fixture? Sounds like a great dead to me!

Very common, basic light fixture
Typical design and build for this type of light fixture. No surprises. If you have installed one of this style before you should have no trouble with this. A little on the flimsy side, but this creates the super lightweight feature I really appreciated when installing this. I put an S hook (not supplied) in the small hole on top each end and hooked to my existing chains. I put a couple cheap Walmart LED lights in it, and it produces a ton of light for my carport.

This was used for older florescent technology to use for grow lights .
I used this fixture with grow bulbs for starting vegetable plants . It worked excellent . Great price half of hardware pricing . Good delivery and was an easy set up .

4 foot Lithonia lighting fixtures
The fixtures were easy to assemble and mount to the ceiling of my garage. When fitted with fluorescent tubes they added great light to the area.

Its a classic.
A good classic flouresent fixture. Takes the big tube bulbs. But it feels a bit flimsy cheap. Have to assemble it too. Seems to work well though.

worsed POS I can imagine..
The 2 prongs on the light tubes wont go into the fittings on the ends of the fuixture. they are not like normal ends that the 2 prongs slide up and into , then you twist a half a turn . Pure garbage in my opiniobn. Oh yeah when I had the fuixture laying on the table the light turned on for 2 seconds and went out. after leaving it off for 10 minutes the same thing happened. There was power to the fuixture ,but the light tubes wouldn't stay on. I threw the whole works into the dumpster ,and got a track light from Home Depot
