Works great, good for MTHFR, VERY PURE, purer than Deplin, 10 months left of shelf life
Received: August 2022Best By: June 2023Product of: USACertified/Specialized: Non-GMO, No binders, fillers, preservatives, gluten, wheat, yeast, milk, lactose, soy, artificial color or flavor, or sweetenerIngredients: L-Methylfolate, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B2, Glycine, Non-GMO Vegetarian CapsuleVery pleased to find this Life Strength 15 MG L Methylfolate + B Complex Balance. We’ve been taking methylfolate and methylcobalamin separately. If you have the MTHFR mutation, you should end up taking 15 mg per day - the same dose as Deplin minus all the artificial colors and other garbage ingredients. My daughter’s doctor kept pushing Deplin, despite her food allergies. A folate deficiency affects mood, anxiety, and more. Very glad to find a methylfolate this pure.My daughter and I have the MTHFR mutation, plus celiac and food allergies. Our ingredient limitations mean it can be hard to find supplements. Very happy to find this formulation. As the parent of kiddos with autism, there are causes near and dear to my heart. Let Amazon donate to your favorite charity! compared to prescription didn't seem to work for me
I have the MTHFR gene mutation confirmed by genetic testing and it prevents my body from using folate in the folic acid form efficiently. to bypass this problem, you can take methyl folate which is folic acid, already broken down by the enzyme I lack enough of. I was on the prescription methyl folate for a few years, when there were no other options in supplements or over the counter. Because its name brand it costs a lot (with savings program was like $50 a month). I thought ordering this would be a more cost effective alternative. While its the same 15mg as I was taking with the other pills, I don't feel like it was very effective. I didn't notice much difference like I would with the prescription. there were no adverse affects or side effects though which is good. Overall I think I will stick with the prescription as it seems to absorb better for me.

Great methylated version of B-Complex.
This review is for: L-Methylfolate + B Balance (15mg) - 5-MTHF, B6, B2 & B12 Methylcobalamin B Complex - 60 Capsules - Professional Strength Active Methyl Folate - Non GMO, Gluten Free, No FillersI have a variation of the MTHFR gene called homozygous c677t. There are two different "bad" variations. I have one of each bad variation from each parent. This is the worst combination, so my body is only able to detox about 10% of what it's supposed to. That means all the bad stuff like toxins, but also stuff you wouldn't think about like preservatives, colorings, and vitamins that I can't assimilate. To metabolize B vitamins, I need the methylated forms of them. Otherwise they build up in my system, don't do anything good, and can cause problems.Taking methylated versions of B vitamins helps me to not build up harmful levels of homocysteine in my body.Taking off one star because of the current price which I feel is a bit based on my experience with similar items here on Amazon.Hope this is helpful.

Helps with MTHFR mutation
This is a great supplement if you have an MTHFR mutation. It has the methylated forms of both folate and B vitamins so it's really all you need to treat the mutation. It works just as well as more expensive prescription options. The capsules are small and easy to swallow, and you only need one a day. It's also one of the more reasonably priced options available.

Easy to swallow capsules.
We take this product on the advice of our physician for a deficiency. This product is more affordable than the brand recommended to us. The capsules are easy to swallow and we have had no ill effect from taking them. The bottle arrived well sealed and the quality seems to be excellent.

Good vitamins
My partner was advised to take a B-complex vitamin by his physician. He hadn't tried this brand before, but the percentages looked good. He's been taking these for a bit over a week now, and says they seem to work the same as the prior ones did, but these are a little easier for him to swallow. That's always a plus.

Wildly incorrect numbers on the label. So what's really inside?
The label states that with 1000 microgram (mcg) of B12, it contains 41667% of the daily value.Going by the common requirement of 2.4 microgram, that should be 416.67 % - so, sure, the decimal point was missing on the label. But then it states, it also contains 41667% of your daily B2, at 1000 mcg = 1mg per pill. The common B2 recommendation is 1.0 to 1.4 milligrams (mg), so that would be a 100% DV at most.Given that these kind of supplements usually contain mega-doses of vitamins, that leads me to wonder how much vitamin B-2 is really in each serving of these pills, as the DV calculation is *wildly* off even if we allow for a missing decimal point. Was it supposed to say 1000mg B2 ? That would be in the 1000% DV range. We can only guess, until the manufacturer chimes in.
