Bang for your buck but keep LOTS of batteries on hand and don’t expect anything professional.
Pros:- Decent quality mics for pro-sumer recording.- Comes with 2 transmitters, 2 microphones, a receiver and pretty much any peripheral you’ll need to connect. You won’t find anything close for the price.- Comes with its own carry case, which is awesome.- The microphones along with a few of the other cables feature a locking ring to prevent accidental disconnection.- small form factor.. each unit basically fits in the palm of your hand.- lots of transmission channel options so you can mitigate interference if any, by switching channels.- can record both receivers simultaneously.. in a stereo frequency mode.- the receiver can accept any 3.5mm microphone so you’ve got upgrade potential, assuming you’re looking for cleaner sound.- Soft touch plastic feels great.Cons:- The wireless receiver is seriously flawed. It’s rated at 4 hours of run time but will drain your brand new batteries when recording within 10-20min. I’m not sure if my unit is defective but that’s what I’ve experienced. Really annoying to have to keep switching out batteries inbetween takes. Granted I have only tested with fresh alkaline and fully charged 1000mAh IKEA batteries. I assume you can get better performance with higher rated batteries like lithium rechargeable. I’ll try and update again.- Everything is made of plastic. It’s great feeling plastic but you can definitely break and/or damage it if dropped.- The seller doesn’t speak very good English so if you’re trying to get assistance with your purchase, things might get lost in translation.
