Love these bags for portion management!
First off, yes, some bags failed.... could've been me rough handling, could've been that these are in fact thin, basic bags.... but overall, there were statistically few failures and I thought the box was worth every penny overall! I love these and I'm buying another box because I just ran out. They are perfect for repacking bulk buys, leftovers or garden harvests down into pre-portioned quantities and then I put a set of bags into large freezer bags for long term storage. Be it individual chicken thighs, a single potato bun, 4 oz of mashed potatoes, taco meat made ahead for lazy nights, portioned pre-cooked rice..... every time I cook, I try to make extra and pack away for another day and these bags are just perfect to size away by serving. I use them in the garden. I use them to unpack after I visit Costco. I use them when I make a big batch of anything. So easy, so versatile, so useful for portion control. I love these. They are handy for so many other uses too. Doesn't have to be just food. I've used them to sort and store craft supplies, office supplies, screws and washers, etc. They are thin so use appropriately but then again, far less waste in the landfill compared to Tupperware or freezer bags if you don't need thick plastic.

Great quality bags. Use them in my hardware store to bag small items.

Acceptable replacement
Not as large as the Ziplock bags I can't get anymore but they work just fine for most off the food we freeze in individual portions.

Good Food Grade small portion bags
I purchased these in place of the ZipLoc Portion bags that I could not longer find. These bags are exactly the size they say and are really for smaller portions. It will take me forever to use them up no matter how often I use them, but when I do I would gladly by a bigger size because they are food grade, are easy to use, and can fit several in the Food Saver vacuum quart bags. Used to use ZipLoc vacuum quart bags but they got to pricey. Food Save brand works the same and I can get as Costco.Note: I gave these 4 stars because perceptually they are smaller than what one might thing and wanted others to note that rather than be disappointed. Again, these are food grade and good quality.

Bought to replace Ziploc bags for chicken
We go through a lot of chicken in our family so we freeze small portions constantly. We spent too much on zipper storage bags. I found these and many reviews claimed to be a good substitute. OVerall, they do their job. But they are on the smaller side than a sandwich-sized zipper bag. I just have to cut the chicken in smaller portions than before. I mean, this is not a deal breaker, just broke up my usual routine of chopping chicken. I wish they were a tad bigger but, they get the job done. Im happy with the cost and quantity. We still have ALOT left so unsure if I would buy these again at this point. Maybe for the cost, I will.

Much less expensive than fold top and zip top bags and great for freezing individual portions.
These are inexpensive enough that I use more bags than I used to and don't mind wasting them. For example... I have a hamburger press and I used to press ground beef into circles and lay them out on silicone sheets and freeze them when I bought 5 pound packs of ground beef. Now, I put a quarter pound of beef into the bags and press them right in the bags and leave them in the bags and freeze them. My daughter had to get used to the bags not having a fold top for her school lunch sandwich.Update: Such a large box, I recently purchased my second box 3 years later. Still like these. I still use them mostly when buying bulk packs of meat or poultry and portioning to single serve and freezing. I also throw leftover spaghetti or rice in them if I cook too much instead of letting the pasta or rice dry out in a bowl in the refrigerator.
