Easy to install, looks good!
I was a little nervous when this arrived and it was coiled so tightly that I couldn’t straighten it and the edges were rippled. I used a hairdryer to warm it before applying to the doors, then heated it again once it was on to push it on securely. Using a fabric tape measure made cutting the correct lengths super easy. The hardest part seemed to be getting it started, but once you get the dire edge inside the end of the strip the rest goes on fairly easily. Looks great. Can’t say how long it will last - I just put it on and will update if it comes off - but right now I’m super pleased that I didn’t spend $100 bucks to have this done at the dealership. I did all four doors on my SUV and have several feet left should I need to redo a door; maybe I’ll do the lift gate. The Buffalo winters can be frigid, so it will be interesting to see how the glue holds up when the temperature drops.

Good for a year or 2 - then "chrome" foil flakes off
Easy to install and looked good for about 18 months. The southern California heat and sunshine took its toll and you can see by the photo that the chrome foil began to flake off. The Grey door edge guard does the job and still looks good, but the chrome looked better.

One Star
Useless, makes the car look ugly and leaves a sticky residue after removing!

Good protection for both your car and those around you
Great simple replacement trim, with easy application. It's a must if you have kids that love to swing the door wide and fast. However, I have to deduct a star for adhesive bonding issue at the end points. With strong application pressure, the adhesive at the middle area bonds to the body perfect, with proper cleaning and drying of the contact points. Application was done during the temperature stabilization at 74°F. With 5 hours of bonding time, and as the temperature drops during the night, the end points started to peal off, possibly due to both moisture in the air, and temperature at 62°F at night. I took a bit of E6200 glue, add a 1/4in application length on each end, a bit of duct tape to increase bonding pressure for the next 48 hours, and voila. No more end points detachment.Take a way point: when installing this strip, use a bit of duct tape to hold the end point in place until the adhesive has a chance to full cure and bond to the clean surface/edge. Allow up to 72 hours to allow the adhesive gets a good bonding before removing the tape.

Looks sharp, easy to install
Originally the wrong item was shipped (ordered chrome, received clear). Had to provide pictures to prove it before the right item was shipped. It looks great on my new car and was easy to cut and install. Just measure out the lengths before and make sure you have enough, but also to make sure it's consistent for each side.I have noticed on the driver's side the layering has given way a bit which allows a few inches of water to sit in it. I'm hoping it won't continue to degrade and eventually cause the trim to fail entirely. If it does I'll just remove all of it.It looks just like a factory installed trim-- except I didn't take it all the way under the rear doors like the factory does. Personally, I think the factory version looks tacky and out of place; so a custom job was definitely the way to go. In all, with measuring, cutting, and installation, it took about 20 minutes to get put on.My recommendation is to use string or a tailor's measuring tape so you can follow the curves of the door. Don't try to use a standard measuring tape or you won't get a proper measurement.UPDATE 1/7/17: Over the last 5 months or so, parts of the chrome color have started to flake off; but is rather small and only noticable up close. One of the doors has somewhat lost its stick, but it's a door that my 4 girls use the most. Chances are they pulled on it pretty roughly when closing the door. It has been a pretty good product for the cost overall. I just have to stick it back in place once every couple months or so. Adding some glue or other adhesive would probably help.. but hasn't come to that point yet.For the price and style, going from 3 stars to 5.. overlooking the error that they shipped me the wrong product to start with. I'm likely going to look at how Honda puts the trim on their vans and apply it there myself as well, for 1/15th of the cost. Looks awesome on my Toyota. Very happy.Update 6/2018: This all fell apart fast. Major shedding and flaking. Lost adhesion in some areas too. Ended up pulling it off. Giving it 2 stars now. Initial quality is good, but don't expect this to last.
