Great Aviation Headset for Student Pilots
I recently purchased the Rugged Air Headset from Amazon, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Despite shipping all the way to South Africa from the US, the delivery was remarkably efficient, arriving promptly and in perfect condition. The quality of this headset truly stands out. As a student pilot, I needed something reliable and durable, and Rugged Air delivers on both fronts. The construction feels sturdy and well-made, giving me confidence that it will withstand the rigors of regular use in the cockpit.Comfort is paramount during long flights, and I'm pleased to say that this headset does great in that department. The cushioning is plush and ergonomic, providing a snug yet comfortable fit even during extended periods of wear.In terms of performance, the audio clarity is good. The noise-canceling effectively filters out ambient noise, allowing for clear communication with air traffic control and my flight instructor.Furthermore, the inclusion of a headset bag is a thoughtful touch. It provides convenient storage and protection for the headset when not in use, helping to prolong its lifespan.Overall, I am impressed with the Rugged Air Headset. It meets and exceeds my expectations in terms of quality, comfort, and performance for the price. Whether you're a student pilot or a seasoned aviator, I recommend this headset for its reliability and value. It's a worthy investment that enhances the flying experience.

I made the right choice!
As a fresh student pilot, I finally decided to purchase a headset. I honestly strayed away from this headset because of the price; however, I did my homework, read reviews, watched video reviews, and I'm so glad I made the right choice!Everything is heard clearly, the headset is comfortable, it adjusts easily, and it's priced very well..... especially for us student pilots that are paying out-of-pocket. When I first used the headset, I noticed the stock foam ear seals made me sweat more and the noise cancelling wasn't that great (as it was stated in nearly every review). I read the reviews and it was recommended to purchase the gel ear seal kit to make the noise cancellation much better and less sweating. I purchased it and I stalled the new pieces and it made a huge difference! Basically, everything I read in the reviews were spot on. I did read the ear cups were hard to switch out, but I didn't have that problem.Basically, this is a great starter headset or a headset for passengers. It's not Bluetooth compatible, I can't plug in my music or anything, and that's completely fine. The last thing I need is another distraction as I'm trying to maintain altitude while doing a turn. I overall, this is a great headset and I would recommend it to anyone!

Very great. Suggested buy.
I’ve used my instructors delta-zulus and these are have close performance, especially considering the price. I took a chance on them and have been very satisfied with mic pick up, volume, and comfort. Had them for three months and they have worked perfect. Bought another pair for passengers. Worth way more than $100.

Get it. Its basic but rugged. Great price.
It just works. Bought just to have a cheap headset out of town training, this was the first time I was ever made to wear a headset in a level D SIM. Amazon had one the same day. Its a big clunky old headset. I wore it 4 hours at a time every day for a week and never thought about it. One minor inconvenience was that the brand new cord was very stiff but I can see that as a positive if you use a long time and get it broken in or at least trained to lay the way you want it. But for an item that gets used and abused, this is perfect for my big old fat head! Being I only used in a SIM I can't speak to noise cancellation. I used the volume knob without even thinking about it so no complaints there. Sound quality never was an issue. Again as this was training, someone was talking at any given time and I never had a problem that wasn't the fault of an audio panel knob. Low cost, functions adequately. My normal headset for airline work is a Bose A20. Wearing this one is only a tad less comfy for me. But I used DC headsets for years with no trouble and many people call those head clamps. Maybe a smaller person might not like it So maybe I'm just dense and senseless! Hahaha. Good luck in your search.

Great starter headset
Flight school is expensive and these are a great affordable option. They work well, I can hear everything clearly. They’re comfortable enough. They have expensive options like Bose that are more comfortable, but this worked for a few hours without causing discomfort.I purchased the gel covers everyone recommended but haven’t tried them yet since these felt fine.

Awesome entry level headset!
I got this as a headset for my passengers and also as a backup for myself. I’ve had several people use it and tried myself once. For the price this is really good!Great comfort and noice reduction and mic quality. We liked it so much I bough a couple more including the kid size one which is great for small kids.

Good value for decent quality aviation headset.
These were much better than I expected for the price. Seems like quality construction, nice sound quality, and good noise cancellation. Would recommend gel ear seals for complete comfort. I used them for training in a Piper Cub and Cessna 172.

Economic option for the extra passanger
This might not be the top choice for the commercial pilot, but works great for an occasional passenger on a plane or a student. Eliminates the loud sound of the motor and allows to communicate with the rest of the crew.
