Q: will this work on motorcycle piston rings??

Not sure but it does go pretty small

Q: what is the diameter range

Didn't use this product in the end,as the access to the Pistons I was working on was restricted.A better product for multi cylinder motor cycle engines was obtained and used very effectively,bought from a company called bikers toolbox in the uk,check out their website.

Q: It's not clear what range of piston sizes this will work for - can you please identify this range?

I used it on oversized 460 ford pistons. that's 4.370. looked like you could go to 4.5. it's the best ring compressor I ever used. it's easy to manipulate and above all really fast.
