Bryton RIDER 750E GPS CYCLE COMPUTER, Black

Good navigation and intuitive to use -Happy with it.

Took this on a test ride yesterday, just half a mile up the road, with a programmed turn set up in navigation. It indicated to carry on 60m beyond the turn I knew I should be taking, then it decided I was off route (surprise!!!). Instead of just telling me to turn around, it then stopped working completely, and called for its companion app. I didn't have my phone with me as it happened, so I returned in the direction I had come, and at no time did it tell me to turn into the programmed road, it just tracked me back with no features working correctly. I regularly cycle in the Peak Dist, where there is limited phone connectivity so connecting to its app wouldn't give it access to much. What happens then? How do I find my way home? Next trial, it refused to leave the drive without its app attached to it.There is no way to copy across .gpx or .fit files directly into the device. The manual is wrong on this. It says there should be a folder called extra files in which to place the files. On my previous 530 device the software would take it from there and make into a useable Bryton route file. This can't do that. The folder doesn't exist. Many have asked on FB for an answer from Bryton but so far nothing has been forthcoming. The other methods stated in the manual also have irretrievable errors. The only way I could find to use previous files was to link it to Komoot and Strava, and then shows you every ride you ever did!.. then, inside the app, to convert it into a turn by turn file (thought it was already) and then to tell it to upload to the device. A tortuous route and some files obviously will only come across if you have Komoot all areas purchased (which I did) or a subscription to Strava.As to making a route in the device, the map doesn't zoom in/out properly... you can see the map in small scale and try to pinpoint where you wish to go to, like pinning the tail on the donkey game..... or you can zoom and not see the roads/place names properly. There's no chance!.... and as to voice navigation.... not even worth trying. It looked up places in the USA obviously nowhere near where I was.I'm returning it.Having said all that. In recent months, I have looked at Garmin devices and they're also less than impressive. This cyclist is going to use Komoot and Strava on a smartphone this year, bigger screen and with offline maps the GPS should enable navigation.

This is a complicated bit of kit that took me ages to get my head around. Don't expect the clear bright navigation displays shown in the advert pictures. It is very washed out and even with the brightness turned up to maximum is close to unreadable in any form of daylight.

Terrible display that you have to run permanently at max brightness to see anything. I took the photo in the dark so it could be viewed! Inexcusably complicated to set up, but the worst part is the requirement for the device to be permanently linked to the smartphone app to function. As soon as this link is lost, a screen starts flashing demanding reconnection and all navigation capability is suspended meaning if your phone runs out of charge on a ride, or heaven forbid you go somewhere that has no 3g or 4g signal, then you have to find your own way home. On my brand new unit the gps signal reception also seems terribly poor and takes an age to get service even though I live in an area with plenty of satellite coverage and very little building interference. It's going back immediately and shame on any reviewer for not highlighting such serious drawbacks.

Levný a dostačující, navigace mne příjemně překvapila. Všechna čidla, včetně radaru splňují očekávání. Za málo peněz hodně muziky.

Facile à configurer, me donne toutes les données dont j'ai besoin, et même plus. Je ne l'utilise pas comme GPS pur, je ne peux donc pas me prononcer là dessus.Dommage que l'application dédiée ne soit pas au niveau, même si les dernières versions se sont améliorées.

Va muy bien . Me hubiera gustado que el avisador de radar , cuando avisa de un coche el sonido que emite el Bryton fuera más alto.

Garmin Edge Explore 1000, oppure bryton rider 750 ??. Premetto che avendo sia il Garmin e il bryton750 posso dare oggi consigli utili a chi si vuole avvicinare a GPS cartografici di alta gamma, acquistato 3 GG fa da Amazon prime il bryton e arrivato nei tempi di consegna, tutto bene la confezione, pagato in promozione euro 170,57. Ho preso il 750E fascia e sensori già in possesso.. nella confezione GPS,staffa in alluminio ,supporto da manubrio con elastici, chiave a brugola x staffa, cavetto x ricarica e trasferimento dati, e manuale cartaceo, che consiglio di scaricarlo da internet... Il GPS una volta messo in carica per circa 5 ore, acceso a una bella pagina home, l'app bryton e essenziale per tenere allenamenti e caricare percorsi, quindi ben fatta, a chi non piace niente paura,,,, trasferisce istantaneamente dopo aver salvato il giro su Strava, komoot ,ride White GPS, e per i più pignoli come me 😉 si possono creare video su Relive. Il GPS lo usato ieri e stamattina 10 aprile, ho cercato di testare tutte le funzioni o almeno le più importanti, e ora veniamo a elencare... Luminosità messa in modalità giorno sfondo bianco con retroilluminazione sempre accesa il GPS e visibile io per avere più visibilità ho messo la staffa e il supporto, questo per poter intercambiare la posizione del GPS sulla staffa inclinata a 45 gradi quando uso la mappa in navigazione, sul supporto se uso il GPS e voglio una lettura dati diretta..quindi la luminosità non è un problema, il GPS e reattivo mantiene il segnale e non lo perso mai dalla partenza 147mt altitudine fino a 1170mt d'altitudine molto bene... Il touchscreen e favoloso molto scorrevole sia con guanto invernale messo stamattina. Cmq nessun problema il GPS a anche il pulsante per cambiare le pagine dati .... La ricerca vocale questa e la cosa innovativa e strabiliante, a 15 km da casa, ho dato destinazione vocale della mia via e numero civico di dove abito, trova il percorso ti carica la mappa e ti da indicazioni di svolta mentre ti avvicini ,se sbagli rotta ti ricalcola il percorso,,,molto preciso e quando arrivi ti dà un suono con arrivo sulla mappa stessa.. veramente bello.. le pagine dati che si possono impostare sono anche troppe... Ma vi rimando a leggervi il manuale, in definitiva importi da app terzi come komoot Strava e riderwhitgps, giri fatti da altri utenti, e ora Garmin Edge Explore 1000 pagato 420 euro, molto complicato, ricezione satellitare più lenta, la pendenza non è affidabile per niente, cosa che il bryton fa senza problemi, la luminosità e più buona ma si paga con un consumo della batteria impressionante, ora le conclusioni mie personali. Garmin mai più...troppo costoso e personalmente non affidabile per alcuni dati, la sincronizzazione del giro finito su Strava, e macchinosa non veloce come lo e il bryton 750 .....quindi a chi è rivolto il bryton? A chi come me vuole un GPS affidabile come batteria copertura GPS, facilità nell'usarlo, e cosa importante la facilità di poter caricare giri da app terzi, ed esportarli, con una navigazione eccellente che ti ricalcola il percorso se esci fuori rotta. Quindi un GPS che mi sento di consigliare a chi vuole un top di gamma, senza spendere cifre esorbitanti... Come già detto. MAI PIÙ GARMIN.
