A nice book
I was looking for a copy of this book to replace a library book that was lost. I ordered this one, not realizing that this was a graphic novel, but I do think that young people would be more likely to read this since it is written in graphic novel form. I replaced the book with a library edition and I will donate this book to the school library - I think the youngsters will enjoy it!

Highly recommended
I love these books. I'm constantly looking for interesting nonfiction texts for my classroom. These are perfect for my third graders and they can not get enough of them. Kids are constantly coming up to me and telling me new facts that they have learned from the books in this series. Great for science, reading, social studies, history, vocabulary, etc. Highly recommended!

Disappointing
This is an almost perfunctory rendition of the discovery of Tut's tomb. Nothing here to capture the enthusiasm of a young reader. Look farther if you wish to foster an interest in ancient history in your child.

My son loved this graphic novel -- fantastic drawings and a good mix of history with an enticing mystery. The view the book takes is a scientific one, arguing that the curse can't be real, but the story is dramatized enough to make it spooky and seductive to young readers. My 6-year-old loved it enough to read it on his own and to his friends. Result.
