Heatstorm Galets Heater, Multicolor

Our gas company jacked up prices this winter, when we were having record cold temps. I dropped our thermostat settings for the gas central heat and installed this in the living room. The room is much more comfortable and our electric usage shows a minimal change.I would love these in the bedrooms but the price has jumped up $100 since I bought mine.I put a thermostat switch outlet that keeps the temp regulated.

Be careful how you mount this, I suggest only vertical mounting. I mounted mine according to instructions and the mounting brackets stripped away from the glass and the heater came crashing down to the floor, just missing my daughter. It ripped a huge hole in my fireplace screen and took a divot out of my wood floor. I wound up making my own mounting brackets that are safe. Be careful!

Just what I was looking for. Doesn't work like normal heater. Warms a room gently & slowly. I put it on 3-6 hrs before going to bed, then shut off for the night,so not usingost of the time. If you haven't had a radiant before it takes awhile to get used to. Buying a seperate thermostat so it will keep even heat all the time. I don't mind a cool room, so I'll set the low pretty low. Looks great & very comfortable once it's set.

We got 4 of these for our house. Gone done installing all of them. They look amazing, like a piece of art and the build quality is top notch.Remember that these are radiant heaters, not space heaters, we were looking for radiant heaters so they don't dry up the air.Radiant heaters are a bit like standing in the sun. If you are looking to heat up and entire room, this might not be want you are looking for.

Purchased the bamboo style heater 9/4/21 and the stone pattern arrived instead. Still sitting on my floor b/c it’s heavy and I’m too lazy to drag it back to return/exchange. (See picture).My mom purchased one of these after seeing mine. The glass front panel separated from the heating element within 15 minutes of turning the unit on and fell/cracked the bathroom tile and shattered the entire glass front into a billion pieces. Fun stuff. Avoid this product if you are a family with small children, pets or enjoy walking around barefoot.A previous amazon review commented on a similar problem with the adhesive. All written customer reviews have vanished, including my own review from Sept 2021 which is … suspicious.

Awesome concept and really love the heater but it needs a thermostat or some way to adjust. It only has a on and off. And we had to rig it so it stayed firm against the wall and not rattle when removing towels.

Works and look better than I expected. I plan to purchase a few more for other rooms of my home.

I’ve demoted the 5 star review because this thing suddenly fell off the bracket. The metal mounting bracket is secured to the glass panel with double sided tape. While the bracket was firmly secured to the wall, the panel slipped off when the glue got warm. It fell into office items right below, but the glass corners chipped pretty badly. I’m looking up customer service right now.
