They are a little narrow in the front, which I use a shoe stretcher overnight and fix the problem. They do seam to be durable, water proof and fit great. Now the only one thing is I wore them all day and they are comfortable for the first half and as the evening went on they didn't seem as comfortable as earlier but still wore them for almost 10 hours . but that can be because they are new and need to get broken in. OVER all worth the money spent on them and yes I would recommend . These have the build quality of my top notch motorcycle/tactical boots, but they have the everyday look of my hightop casual Vans or Converse. But.. the comfort level and weight feels exactly like wearing my favorite retro Air Jordans. The included laces lay flat, look great, and have never come untied. I haven't tested the waterproof ability yet, but I'm sure I will this winter, because I wear these shoes everywhere now. The toe and heel caps are extremely thick and stiff, and feel durable. The only improvement I'd make would be an extra little hump of leather on the shifter toe area for durability, but they may not look as casual then? I love these shoes. They feel like my favorite Jordans, they look like my favorite Vans, but they are built like my favorite tactical motorcycle boots. A dream. Also... If you want to wear thick socks, or you are on the upper edge of a half size, you need to go with the bigger size with these shoes. I then ordered a shoe stretcher. Reminds me of almost wearing Vans. I would say they run wide and not narrow. I wear a size 11 in my tennis shoes and that’s what I bought. Mine feel fine and comfortable on my foot. **Q: How are these as far as protection, obv not a full track boot but are these significantly better then riding in a sneaker?** A: Yes they are great a heck of a lot better than wearing sneakers. Also they fit the same size just like a sneaker. I feel like these are comfortable give great protection for me riding on my Hayabusa. They are great insulated so even when I was riding in the cold it kept my feet warm. Further, the boots have held up with the heat that comes off from my exhaust on my bike, which your average sneaker is going to start to wear and tear on the side of the shoe. Plus, when I first lowered my bike I had an experience that I my bike in a turn, which the front of the boot dragged on the concrete and the boot didn’t even look that it got any scratches on it.
