Review: Pretty good! Recommended. - This is a very interesting start to what I hope will be a good series. First off, the art is BEAUTIFUL. The art in Kazumi and Oriko was a little iffy, but this is an absolute joy to look at. Whoever this GAN is, I want to see him/her do more Madoka spinoffs. Story-wise, the concept of a magical girl hunter is very interesting. Furthermore, the story hints at a deep backstory for Suzune, which is good. In Oriko, the main character was the antagonist, but she wasn't developed well enough, so she hardly felt like the main character. Suzune fixes this problem by giving the main character/antagonist an interesting past and personality. My one criticism is that the other characters react to the main plot of the volume a little... too well. Only one of them reacts how you'd expect an actual middle school magical girl to react.

Only quirk i have about this subseries is some themes/reveals feel a bit rehashed if you've watched the series, that being said, it's done with new characters and with new takes
