It does a great job raking out the loose fur from their short coats. And it feels nice and sturdy, which is great since I'm tired of buying junk that falls apart after a few uses.Edit: I dropped a star because the handle did end up falling of about a year in. I super glued it back on, and it's good as new. Also, I've found that this works great on my dog who has slightly fluffy/textured fur and less well with my dog who has super sleek fur.
