Meeting Mungo Thunk

I’m a great fan of Keith A Pearson’s books and have read most including two featuring Mungo Thunk. MT is an odd character and deals with fixing peoples ‘broken thinking’. There are little lines throughout these stories that do make the reader ‘stop & think’ about how people perceive and behave in the real world and it’s those moments that make these books so good.

Somehow, when I was inhaling Keith’s other books (as Claudia Winkleman would say), I managed to miss this one. So when the second in series, The Way we Thunk, came out, I was thrilled to have the absolute joy that is reading a Keith A Pearson book for the first time (x2!!!) No matter how hard I tried to pace myself and make it last, I failed. Windows taunted their smudges as the sun gleefully highlighted every smear, dirty mugs and plates failed to make it to the dishwasher, and tummies rumbled as they waited for sustenance. Frequently I’d reach for my mug of tea only to find some blighter had drunk it.This isn’t just a page turner, it’s the mother and father of all page turners, gripping you in its spell until the empty stars come up at the end, wanting to be filled. Well, it would be rude not to after being so thoroughly entertained. Sure, Adam wasn’t exactly the most likable of characters, but he wouldn’t have had such a huge character arc if he was. You can’t have it all ways! No spoilers, but all the way through there are hints of redeeming features which the speed-reader might miss.P.S. Where can I buy some Crystalene? Finally got to do those grubby windows, and the stuff which reckons it’s non-smear is lying.

I Really liked this story, very witty dialogue, and good every day characters. I Have downloaded the next mungo book. Looking forward to reading that.

This was an intriguing book that I think will stay with me. Interesting all of the way through. Definitely want to find out more

I found the main character in this story so very real and I found it a really enjoyable read. Can't wait to read the next one straight away!

An enjoyable read about growing up whatever age you might be!Not all questions are answered, maybe the sequel will be telling.

I found this on kindle as a "more like your recent purchases", didn't realise it was by Keith A Pearson, until my better half told me, I thought the Clement books were excellent, but this book beats them, very unusual story, and very enjoyable, just about to read the sequel!

Great, loved it. It's the hallmark of a good book that when it ends you wish it hadn't as was the case with, Meeting Mungo Thunk.
