A Good Way To Start Your Day
I was delighted to find Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats on Amazon. I have always had to order these oats on line because the stores in my area carry only the gluten-free version of this cereal. The cereal I received from Amazon was fresh with a date of expiration well over 2 years in the future. I prefer to purchase the case, which includes 4 packages of 32oz bags. It is much more economical buying this product by the case than individual bags. The bags arrive housed in a heavy cardboard box which would be used as a display box in stores. I have been eating Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats for a few years. I started having oatmeal for breakfast because I read so many books and watched so many doctors on TV extol the health benefits of whole grains, especially, whole grains from oats. Having always been concerned about my weight, I worried such a substantial breakfast would cause me to gain a few pounds. This has not been the case at all; in fact, just the opposite has happened. This cereal is low fat and cholesterol free. It is filling and that feeling lasts all through my morning. I have read the reason eating oatmeal makes you feel satisfied longer is because the fiber slows down the digestion of the oatmeal. Fiber from oats provide two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble. Both are important for good health but soluble fiber, in particular, has been acclaimed for it's role in the reduction of LDL (bad) cholesterol. Soluble fiber is fiber which dissolves in water and therefore absorbs the LDL cholesterol and takes it out of the body. If you did not have soluble fiber, the LDL cholesterol would be reabsorbed by the body. Insoluble fiber passes through the intestines and acts like a broom to help push the products of waste through your system. Each 1/2 cup dry measure of Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats contain 5g of dietary fiber which consists of 1.6g of soluble fiber and 3.4g of insoluble fiber. I add a tablespoon or two of ground flaxseed to add fiber, omega3 and other essential fatty acids to my breakfast. I make this oatmeal every morning. The instructions on the bag read to bring water and salt to a boil and then add the oats. I prefer to bring the water to a boil with the oats in the pan. It seems the individual grains of oats are a little softer when you put them in cold water and then bring it to a boil. I don't add salt. I don't think it needs it for my taste. When the water reaches a boil, I lower the heat so that a mild simmer is maintained. I often sprinkle cinnamon on the oats. In 10 minutes I am ready to sit down to a nutritious, delicious, breakfast which will do my body good.

Taste great and healthy!!!
I've used Bob's Red Mill products for years and have always been 100% satisfied. The organic rolled oats are no exception. If you compare them to the leading seller of non-organic rolled oats there is no comparison. Bob's are head and shoulders above them - you can honestly see it just by visually comparing the oats. And of course by taste - they just taste great. Also, if you eat a lot of oats, I'd recommend you go with organic. More and more evidence shows how non-organic products are laden with chemicals and/or are GMO. From times before I actually was buying non-organic oats that I could get at a big discount store, but after reading articles about the problems with non-organic oats, I stopped and went full organic with Bob's. You may pay a little more but I believe it is more than worth it.As far as taste, these are great for plain old oat meal. They are very hearty and great on a cold morning with some honey or maple syrup, cinnamon and raisins. I don't bake a lot but I'm sure they would make killer oatmeal raisin cookies. Oh - I love to use these to make granola or home-made health bars. They provide excellent consistency and are super tasty. The price at Amazon is a big plus.

Great for making my own granola!
I have ordered several times from this company and it always comes in quickly and well packaged. It is great for making my granola and I never have any issues with the quality. I also never have a lot of dust or crumbs in the bottom of the bag either. Always good quality.

One of the GREAT companies we should be grateful for
I am a single dad to an 18 month old and not only is this product amazing and super easy for me to make my daughter oatmeal with, but the company itself is SO helpful, kind and just tried to make things so easy for customers. It’s not everyday you find a company that has such great products, but more importantly to someone like me...a superior company. Every employee made me feel cared for, and they went ABOVE and BEYOND what they ever needed to for me. I am happy and glad to be spending my money with a company like this.I honestly can’t give a good enough review, if I could review the company itself, they would get 10 out of 5 ⭐️ stars

Glycophosphate in Bob's organic oats?
Bob's Red Mill, I'm a long term customer and if you look in my pantry/fridge/freezer, you will see that most of my dry cooking ingredients are Bob's brand. I was surprised and very upset to find out that your organic oats had detectable levels of glycophosphate. I specifically buy organic products when available to avoid glycophosphate. I love your products, so please start your own glycophosphate testing at time of purchase from each and every purchase from farmers. This is the only way to assure your customers that they are truly getting what they are paying extra for! With all the oatmeal we eat (Breakfast almost every day! ), homemade cookies and granola, oatmeal bread, and oatmeal based recipes we make, our family of four goes through 4 big bags of organic rolled oats almost every month. It's time for us to re-order our Bob's Red Mill organic rolled oats, and normally I do that with great pleasure, but now I feel like looking for a different brand. Please, start your own glycophosphate testing at point of purchase from your farmers. Your company is powerful enough to do that and you should be ultimately responsible for providing a glycophosphate free product, especially if we are paying the extra money for organic. Restore the faith of your loyal customers who buy organic in order to avoid glycophosphate . You can't rely on the farmers to be honest. Most of them are, but it only takes one or two bad apples to ruin your company's good reputation.

Great Taste and Easy to Make
I have been eating Bob's for about 6 months and I love it - great taste and easy to make. The back of the package gives instructions for how to cook in a microwave, rather than the stove. This makes it quick and easy with no messy pot to clean up. I like to add some banana, avocado, shaved almonds, cinnamon and flax seed for a super healthy breakfast.
