MUST HAVE for Cinque Terre
Could not have been more pleased with this pocket sized book. The maps are slightly out of scale but the general information is invaluable. Stayed in Monterosso for 8 days, very easy to get to a LOT of places by train. Two comments:BE SURE TO USE THE ATM AT THE BANK ONLY, others charge up to 10% surcharge.BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR BACKPACK IN FULL VIEW AT ALL TIMES, we ate with another couple who had their backpack behind them and it was pulled out between some bushes while we were talking (Vernazza) Earlier in their trip, his wallet was stolen in Rome from a zippered back pocket. The trail from Monterosso is extremely challenging with sharp drop offs and STEEP climbs on uneven stairs, start with a shorter walk. People coming from behind and ahead on a trail 18 inches wide.Volastra is a one lane, one church, village with only a couple restaurants, the hike there is VERY challenging, take the bus! (if at all)Porte Venere is AMAZINGBe sure you exit the train station at Sevestri Levante (worth visiting) on the front, otherwise you'll be hopelessly lost. :(Levante is the least charming village to visit.

Worth every penny!
Very helpful! Great maps and walking tours. We used this every day we were in the Cinque Terre. Descriptions are spot on. I wish I would have gotten the Venice book too!

This one is okay
Not as good as others. Love all Rick Stevens books. Definitely made Italy much more enjoyable being a newbie to travel.

Rick always knows what to do and how do do it. I’ve been using his columns and books for 30 years. You should too!

Great little guide
Very useful travel guide! Small size, and lightweight, makes it perfect for small bag But it had great information. Liked how it was divided by the towns, and really good information on traveling on public transport from one to another.

An excellent Guide
What a great little book well worth the money. An excellent guide to the Cinque Terre, a must buy if you are visiting the region.
