Q: is Koita Rice plant-based milk a gluten free product? thanks Silvia E

Does not say Gluten Free on box. After ingredients lists, it states it may have traces of soy and wheat. I would say not certified gluten free.

Q: What is expiration date?

I cannot give a legal interpretation, but I have worked in a food pantry with foods that have “use by” or “expiration” dates. We found that whatever date was printed on a container, the food did not become inedible the next day, or even the next week. It appears food manufactures publish conservative dates to be certain to avoid liability claims.

I have the same question. The carbohydrates in rice do NOT constitute ADDED sugar. ADDED sugar is something that is distinct from the other ingredients (and how the other ingredients break down in the body) -- e.g. cane sugar, maple syrup, honey, glucose, etc. etc. etc. Clearly, you and I are on the same page. It is odd that they left out that particular ingredient. I do, however love the Koita almond-coconut beverage, which has a bit of added sugar and lists the source.
