Since it's a probiotic that dissolves in the mouth, it's a good thing it tastes so good. I look forward to it every night. I got serrated tongue--deep, painful crevasses that run the length of it-- from four years ago with COVID. 17% of long Covid-sufferers share in this parting gift. Every time I get a cold or worse, this flares up so badly that I can't eat. My tongue burns with every morsel. In just a couple weeks I can lose ten pounds or more because it hurts too bad. This can go on for weeks or even months until it slowly subsides. It seemed like I might've been looking forward to a month or more of this torture when I started searching the internet with new desperation. I simply came across this on Amazon, and knew I had nothing to lose in trying it. it made sense. And it worked. Not overnight, but I could feel a gradual improvement as it soothed my poor tongue back to normalcy. I continue to take it nightly as a protective agent and would strongly recommend it to anyone experiencing mouth problems.

I underwent periodontal treatment and did not fully heal until after taking these specific oral probiotics strains: PUR ORAL Blis K12 & Blis M18. My periodontist was very impressed by the before and after results of my oral DNA test (test for specific pathogenic bacteria associated with periodontal disease).After much research, I stumbled upon the book Oral Probiotics by Case Adams and there within found his extensive research from microbiologists clinically demonstrating how oral probiotics can significantly improve not only your oral health but strengthen your immune system as well. Simply put, a healthy mouth is colonized with both probiotics and pathogenic bacteria. When it becomes imbalanced (from antibiotics, illness, etc.) the pathogenic bacteria can over colonize and take over causing inflammation and disease. You must address the underlying problem and re-colonize the body with probiotics.PUR Oral Probiotics was the absolute missing piece to my recovery. My hygienist & I saw significant improvement within 2 months of my taking this oral probiotic (I took it 2x/day and continue for preventive measures). My tooth pocket depth went from a 5.5 mm down to a 3 mm . My oral DNA bacteria had also dramatically improved as well.I have celiac disease which is correlated to both periodontal disease and intestinal permeability (for which I also take the PUR 50B probiotics for my intestinal health).After a desperate search, I finally found this quality product by PUR that is gluten free, dairy free (most oral probiotics have dairy as an ingredient), vegan, non-GMO and magnesium stearate free. this is room temp stable for 2 yrs after you open it, haven't used it much so cannot post on effectiveness yet. but i really hope it will work as advertised. none of the ingredients seem to be harmful (as in feed bad bacteria) and am switching from the NOW brand b/c that one has sorbitol which does feed bad bacteria.note that the company seems to make just this one product??? and they do not sell this on their company website, unlike other brands, very weird.UPDATE:ordered 2nd batch, this time there was little discount code with website listed as PURNUTRACUETICALS.COM but when you google that, nothing shows up. this company need to get their act together. definitely detracts from 5 star review.UPDATE Jul 2016onto 3rd bottle, all i can say is, less coating on tongue in mornings. less post nasal drip, and less morning phlegm (less but not entirely gone)really wish they added more mint flavor and less sugar alcohol (isomalt)**cannot see improvement with oral health from the M18, not sure if other users see improvements**September 2016 new ingredients: see photosi really wish all brands of oral probiotics eliminate sugar flavoring. xylitol isn't good for our bodies even if research says it is good for our teeth, but it is a very tiny amount daily. they removed isomalt & added xylitol.

It does work, but to really be effective you really need to eat about 5 at a time makint it cost prohibitive.
