A Classic for a Reason
Was looking for a good bedside clock, easy to read, dependable. The BC22 shows up in a lot of blogs and reviews and now I know why. It's elegant, silent, and just gets the job done. I don't use it for my alarm, but I like having it close by. The backlight is way better than a little LED light in the corner. NOTE: Complaints about battery life are probably legit, but that is caused by using the "continuous backlight" where the backlight stays on whenever it is dark (there is a light sensor). But that is optional. I don't use that. I just hit the top button and the face lights up for about 5 seconds.

Quality and Design!
This is my second Braun analogue clock from Amazon in the last few months. Well priced and clean, simple design. Love the Braun products! The packaging of this particular model; however, didn't include any the instruction manual. With a little online research I was able to determine the required battery size.

Stopped working after 3 months, no company back up, service cumbersome -- AVOID!
Had trouble with this clock. What a waste of time atop it not working. It stopped working 3 months post purchase. I replace batteries, despite using new ones 3 mos previously. Again it was not working. Only light came on but no time keeping. Contacted Braun -- sent my Amazon invoice and requested warranty info. They requested a video showing me installing new batteries and and "make sure if light come on" to ensure batteries are strong. I had trouble doing that and keeping the video file within the size limit acceptable to the. Finally, after I widdled it down they then started requesting Amaon invoice agian. This all occurred over email literally ober 2.5 months. They fianlly refunded money but it was $10 less than I paid. NO explanation. I cannot even begin to imagine calling and emailing them back about anything ever again. I spent $35 on a clock which I hoped was better than the $18.99 versions of this type of silent plastic alarm clock. Save your money and time -- avoid this model! I have other Braun clocks -- never had any issue. This experience is to be avoided at all cost to keep your sanity.

Love this clock!
I wanted an analog clock w/a continuous backlight, but there are very few out there. Bought this one thinking it would have to do but not expecting to like it and not happy about the price. It's much cuter than I thought it would be, though, and the backlight is great. It's bright and makes it very easy to read the time, but the light is warm and it just sort of glows, rather than shining in my eyes when I'm trying to sleep. Also really love that it's silent. I won't need the alarm, but I tried it out, and while it's almost a cute sounding tone, it'll get your attention and would be impossible for me to ignore.

Nice bedside clock
Slightly smaller than anticipated. Still an attractive clock. Requires three batteries: one for the clock, two for the orange light. I like the dim orange nighttime glow but it consumes batteries quickly. I've decided to leave the glow-lights off and press the snooze if I need to see the clock at night. That gives you five seconds of light on the clock face. Hour and minute hand are almost the same length making it a little difficult to easily read.

Really nice...EXCEPT
It was just perfect, exactly what I wanted: small and had the most important feature I was looking for...a back light. BUT the light stopped working after couple of months. Disappointed.

Get white not black
I got two and I really love the white one. It’s so elegant and the nightlight is so subtle. However, the nightlight doesn’t really work on the black one, because it shines from behind the clock face, which means there’s no luminance because the black clock face virtually blocks all light. I thought they would have done something smart like etching on the digits to let light through, but I was overthink it and Braun didn’t do that.
