AmeriBag17" Nylon Crossbody Sling Healthy Back Bag

This is my third small AmeriBag. I bought this distressed nylon bag to replace one I bought 4 years ago, which I loved and used frequently until the main zipper wore out. I have just received the new bag and I am very pleased with the slight improvements made to the design. My previous bag had velcro closures for some of the outside pockets, while the new bag has magnetic closures instead - hooray for no more velcro catching on everything! On one side of the bag, a single large outside pocket with a flap has been split into 2 in the new version. There is now a narrow "cell phone" pocket (which will fit a smaller phone but certainly not my mammoth Galaxy Note 4 in its Otter Box case) and a slightly wider pocket (which does just fit my phone with a little room to the side). I find that it is very easy to reach the zippers without taking the bag off if I keep them at the bottom.

I love this line of purses. It's not too big, holds lots of things in logical places, including an umbrella! The strap is easy to carry multiple ways. I've been in tourist areas where I could easily protect my purse from thieves by changing how I wore it.I had previously bought one in a nylon material, which I used a lot. Unfortunately, the nylon one showed stains very easily and was impossible to get clean. I opted for this one because of the "distressed" fabric which really translates to a woven pattern that hides stains and scuffs. I'm happy with this purse.

Against your chest or over your back these bags are comfortable and stylish. They have lots of pockets for so many items. Tough fabric and construction yet very nice looking.

I received my first AmeriBag as a gift 30+ years ago and now I am on my third one. I carry it every day. Occasionally I get the urge to try something else but I'm never satisfied and go right back to AmeriBag. I really like the padded pocket for electronic devices that has been added since the last time I purchased. A small size holds everything I need on a daily basis. This is the most comfortable and back friendly bag I've ever had. I love it!!

This bag is aptly named; it really is easy on the back. I load my purses with “just in case I need it” items and even carried crossbody most purses begin to feel heavy. This one doesn’t. I wore it crossbody on a recent trip and it was great—held everything I needed (including both iPad mini and a kindle in their cases, plus wallet, sunglasses, phone, miscellaneous cosmetics, etc). I used outside pockets for quick-access items and that worked well. The only downside is that sometimes it’s a little hard to retrieve and replace things from inside the bag while wearing it—but if all your essentials are in outside pockets it makes an excellent travel bag. I was so happy with it and with being pain-free that when I reached my destination I continued to use it, even though I had brought a more stylish purse to change into. This is the first Healthy Back Bag I have bought in some years but the bags I bought in the past were durable and well-made and this one appears to be the same. I expect to use this one for a long while to come and I’m likely to purchase in other sizes and colors. It is not the most fashionable purse so wouldn’t be suitable for all occasions but it is a very well-organized, well-made bag and a godsend for folks with back and shoulder pain.

AmeriBag is a great bag to own. It's supposed to be healthier for you to carry it over your shoulder or you can carry it across your body. I've used the AmeriBag Healthy Back Bag for years. They run really big so I buy the small one in distressed nylon, which you can call a medium for your purposes, and it holds everything I need. When the bag gets a few soiled spots on it, I pop in in my washer and wash it in cold water on the hand wash cycle and let it air dry. Continues to look the same and I don't have to wash it often because I'm careful about when I put my bag to try and keep it clean. But if I have to, I can always wash it in my washer. The bag does come with a limited warranty but after reading it, I don't understand why that;s included because it doesn't cover anything; but that's okay. The bag lasts a long time if you treat it right and don't abuse it.

I've had this bag for 9 years and use it as my purse daily. It fits a surprising amount of stuff if I need it to and is more comfortable than a traditional purse. It still looks new on the outside and none of it has torn or worn out. I highly recommend!

Can be worn as shoulder bag, or, with strap lengthened, a great cross-body bag. Multiple pockets inside keep things organized, and the light, silvery color inside makes it easy to find what you need.Nice that these “distressed nylon” Ameribags can be machine-washed. I suggest the gentle cycle. The same-styled Ameribags in microfibre can be only surface cleaned.The only thing I find useless is the key holder. I cut it out completely, since a lady should not carry her keys in her purse. They belong in your pocket so that, should your purse be snatched, the thief may have your ID, but not also your house/car keys.

A reliable comfortable bag for everyday use.

I had a canvas healthy back bag from LL Bean for years and loved it. When it finally started to look a little too distressed, I was too late. LL Bean stopped selling it and I couldn’t find a reasonable price on one in Canada. Finally, Amazon.ca started carrying them. I was disappointed that they are no longer made in canvas, but I ordered the red distressed nylon. It’s great! It does not look like nylon, nor does it look distressed, just like a durable fabric. All of the same great features as the bag I once had, plus a few updates like magnets instead of Velcro. I have the “small” size, which has more room than the medium sized purse I had been using. Highly recommend.

Had one before which I used as a work bag every day. Zip finally broke after years of abuse and over-filling! Perfect for carrying books, purse, lunch box and sundry other items. Useful pockets for phone, tickets, passports etc. Leaves hands free as a back pack would, but much more comfortable on the back. Would recommend.

da ich viel mit einem Rucksack zur Arbeit und Einkaufen gehe, wollte ich einfach mal eine " chicke" Tasche haben.Diese Tasche ist chick als auch pracktisch. Nur mein einfacher ( wie z. B. 1 Tetrapack Saft und Milch) Einkauf passt da nicht hinein. Die Größe ist halt wie eine normale Handtasche mit vielen Fächern, eben praktisch.Ob sie tatsächlich Rückenschonened wirkt , lässt sich mit der Zeit fest stellen. Ich trage sie auch jedem Fall gerne.
