I never write reviews, but this really stands out as a tremendous value. The metal and machining is top-notch; this isn't random scrap thrown together and shipped. I was impressed the moment I unboxed the stand. It is built like a tank and so sturdy it practically can't wobble. The bottom plate comes with rubber feet, but the packaging included additional loose rubber feet to either bolster the bottom plate or put on the top plate to secure your monitor or laptop. It came with extra screws, and even the Allen/key is high quality, coming with a ball end. The stand gives good clearance for all positions, and you can place items underneath your monitor or laptop. It's absolutely perfect for my needs and looks very clean with my largely black setup.

I've tried a wide variety of monitor stands, and this one truly stands out for its durability. It's incredibly sturdy, and while a very heavy monitor may cause it to lean forward slightly, lowering it all the way and tightening the adjustments will keep it secure. Standard monitors sit perfectly at the ideal height. The stand itself is quite heavy, which adds to its stability, and the open front design is fantastic for storing things like keyboards or other accessories underneath. It has a sleek, clean look that adds to any setup! Although I’ve since upgraded to lifting monitor arms, I still use this stand for other purposes, like holding my laptops both on top and underneath. It feels like the quality you'd expect from a product that so many others advertise but fail to deliver. Highly recommend!

This stand is perfect for what I need. I have a laptop on top of it, and a laptop underneath it, with my monitor on the side. The stand is definitely sturdier than I was expecting, which is good. I was afraid it would be flimsy, but it is very sturdy.

Had mine for almost 3 months. I place an HP laptop 17" laptop on it, so that my keyboard can go under it, and I have a second monitor next to it - and it has worked great on my little desk. I also keep it at the lowest height - works perfectly for my needs. Yes, it is heavy and sturdy, and easy to put together. I live on the go, so my laptop comes off it nightly, though the stand and monitor usually stay set. Was delighted with it, up until last week when the screws stripped out of the bottom, and my laptop slid forward off on to the desk (slowly - no damage thankfully). Tried the extra screws that came with the unit - but the threads inside the base had stripped out. Outside replacement period already - and (other than THIS) was the perfect solution for my needs. Superglue didn't work, but Epoxy on the base, and an upside down spare cup between the plates to ensure support has me back in business. If it had seen a year of use, I would have said "oh well", and simply purchased another one. ~ 90 days? Couldn't justify spending that amount of money for it... THOUGH, nothing else appeals either. Device comes with adhesive screw covers (I assume with the idea of keeping them from loosening once put together) - but based upon my experience now, I'd recommend strongly occasionally checking the device to see if it is loosening up at all, and do whatever maintenance is necessary. I'd would have loved to be able to give this unit a full 5 stars, but have to share my experience as-is. Would probably have been much more upset if it had separated quickly, and damaged my laptop... would have been happier to have been given a heads up that it would have benefitted from a closer eye and maintenance. Based upon how sturdy it appeared, it NEVER occurred to me that the bottom screws would strip out.

I just install this and put my IMAC on here. What a difference it made ! Instead of buying a rising desk, I went for the economical route. My neck was bend in all the wrong places ! Having my neck down was no good. This has made me look up and already is making a great impact of my bent neck ! It is small enough for my desk and even added storage space on the desk for better organization ! It's design is simple and very easy to assemble. It is a good value and it is holding my IMAC so it is sturdy as well. You can't go wrong with trying this out !

I selected this monitor stand because of the ability to adjust the height. I did not know what height I would want the monitor. I have a Surface laptop and use the stand to hold my 2nd monitor, a 24" monitor. The height of the monitor stand is a personal decision, dependent upon your desk and preferences. My monitor is now about 4 1/2 inches above the standing desk. And it is perfect! I saw one review (a video) who said that her monitor rocked a bit on the stand. I read on the BoYata (stand manufacturer) webpage and in the instruction manual that one's monitor support ought to be right over the pillar of the stand. That's what I did, and my monitor is rock solid stable!

Perfect for me, easy to assemble and happy with the quality and sturdiness. I am using it to raise my second monitor. Love that it has now given me more space on the desk and space I can use under my monitor, fits well.

Brilliant. Solid metal. Sturdy. Easy to build (I did two the wrong way at first but I didn't read the instructions but easy to correct). I purchased 3 of them and all the same high standard. Two for monitors and one for laptop.
