**Q: Are these bags reuseable?**
A: No, UMAi Dry® is not reusable. You see, it is not a plastic bag, but a membrane. In order to release moisture and exchange oxygen, it must take up the proteins on the surface of the meat. It will bond with the meat, and need to be peeled away after aging is complete. It is important to understand that UMAi Dry® is not a vacuum bag. It won't seal like one. You don't require a complete vacuum. Air pockets inside the bag pose no risk. In fact, you can just use the immersion method to press the air out, and the membrane into good enough contact with the meat, then tie off the opening with a twist tie or zip tie. Moist (untouched, untrimmed) meat and an open wire rack (in a regularly used modern frost free kitchen refrigerator located in a room temperature environment) are all you need for success. The bag adds about $0.50/lb, but dry aging adds roughly 45-65% to the value, at retail prices. Hope this helps.

**Q: Will my foodsaver fm5860 be able to seal the umai bags?**
A: For least frustration, it is best to seal UMAi Dry® with a manual style lid and latch model sealer. The FM5860 appears to be an automated model. The problem is that automated models require the rigid laminated vacuum bag material to trigger the paddles for the vacuum pump.  You can certainly try to align a piece of FoodSaver bag with the edge of the single layer UMAi Dry® membrane and try tripping the automated features--but it can be tricky. We have a video on our YouTube channel demonstrating how to do this. If you don't mind a bit of a mess, you can use the immersion method, allowing water to displace the air, and press the UMAi Dry® into good enough contact with the meat, then just tie off the opening. In all cases, UMAi Dry® does not require a vacuum seal--air pockets in the bag pose no risk. UMAi Dry® is not a vacuum bag, but a moisture and oxygen permeable membrane. All you need to do is transfer the gooey moist meat from the processor packaging into UMAi Dry®, press out the air and seal it off, then rest it on the open wire rack in your regularly used modern frost free kitchen refrigerator located in a room temperature environment. Wait 35-45 days and prepare to be amazed.

**Q: What is the actual size of the bag? In the description it talks about the size of a piece of meat it will fit. Doesn't mention actual bag size**
A: It is pretty big. More long than wide. It can fit a prime rib with no bones probably around ten pounds.
