We spend a lot of time on the road, and these are perfect for the kiddos to have lunch or dinner in the car. The colors are vibrant, and I like the multiple compartments. It seals well, and I don't have to worry about leakage at all.

Item Good but not for big kids. Too small

We love these boxes. They are great for my boys school lunches and I will definitely purchase again, I just wish there was a way to order extra parts. Our lid broke almost immediately and we have been able to make it work but it would be nice to just order a new one since the rest of it is in great condition. Also, if they could make the lid fit only one section of the container that would be nice too.

Pros: These are a great size for school lunches, and are leakproof. We tried putting applesauce in one of the compartments, but it did transfer to the other compartment. However, it did not leak outside of the lunch box. To remedy this, I place a piece of Glad Press-n-Seal over any compartment with liquids. I like that it has a separate top compartment for utensils, napkins, wet-wipes, etc. When using an ice pack, the metal inserts help keep the food colder than when compared to using a plastic container. I have also found that it does a good job keeping condensation out so bread does not get soggy.Cons: The seal between compartments needs to be improved to prevent transfer of liquids between them. The clasps on the box can be hard to close or open, even harder for young children. I'm worried the plastic closure clasps will chip, or break. After only a couple of months the top lids are already cracked on both of our boxes. One cracked down the center because we had to press down on the box to get the clasps to shut. The other lid cracked and broke off at the corner when it was accidently dropped. Maybe a silicone lid or cover would remedy this. Lastly, it would be great if it came with a different lid options so that if you only wanted to use part of the box (like the larger bottom compartment) you could.Overall, it keeps food pretty well contained and colder than many of the other containers I have tried. I don't mind spending a more $ for quality products, but it's unlikely I will purchase this again because as previously mentioned, after only a couple of months the top lids are already broken. Maybe it will be better for adult use, if you don't eat large portions. But, I need something that is more sturdy and easier for children to use.

Great for taking your lunch in

The bento box is well made but has design flaws. There's no lid separating the bottom tray from the top tray, just the top tray itself. So it the container tilts or flips upside down, the bottom of the top container gets dirty. This means you cannot place the top container down unless you clean the bottom of the container doesn't remain upright (if you notice). 2nd problem, since there's no lid for the bottom container, you can't take it with you by itself. 3rd: you cannot microwave the bottom container unless you take the food out of the metal container and out it in the blue plastic that holds it or another plate or bowl. And of course after heating your food, you have to wash the blue box before putting the metal box back in it. 4th problem goes with the 2nd, you can only secure the bento if you use all the units together because the locking mechanism needs the metal tray with it's blue rubber holder.Not sure if I am keeping this (unfortunately I purchased 2). The purpose is to make bringing my lunch to work an easy chore, not waste time cleaning each compartment twice.
