I founnd these and gave them a try and much to my surprise they fit ! ! ! ! not the most stylish things for sure. I had it in my cart a long time before purchase. It is absolutely possible to open up entirely to put on and it seems warm. They are very light-the sole is soft, light, spongy plastic of some kind. The bottom is not a sticky kind of sole that grabs the floor constantly. It's also not slippery, though I haven't tried it in wet conditions.Cons: the boot is really wider, maybe 1/2", than the typical wide shoe at the toe box. I'll have plenty of room for thick boot socks in there. The velcro panels behind the boot's heel are super stiff making that area want to remain flat and wide. There is no arch support or anything at all like that in the boot. It's sort of an ugg that you can velcro into, if that makes sense. The velcro is grabby and the areas of velcro are large making them a bit of a effort to pull apart.Shoes:I got the ones with two velcro straps across the instep and one velcro strap at the heel. These fit well and are easy to put on. I love they can be readjusted over the day as needed and there's enough velcro for a wide range of fits. I got the women's 9 and they were better for me than the boot which I bought in a 10. I am a 9.5 wide wide size normally. The look isn't too orthopedic to my eye. It just looks like a double mary jane shoe to me.important note: I can't walk much so cannot attest to long walks in these shoes.
