I used the shade holder for a smaller lamp that I needed a certain size/height for, and it worked perfectly. They held the shades at just the right height over the bulb.

Bought these for two lamps that didn’t have a way to hold a lamp shade . They worked held them in place wasn’t wobbly but did notice a burning smell after a while. They ended up melting onto the lightbulb so I’m trying to figure out how to remove it from the light bulb if possible. So I replaced the lightbulb and Am now unable to use with the shade. I guess you can only use them for looks but not for actual use.

One half of the harp that attaches to the bulb has wax or plastic on it and it melted onto the bulb. Use an LED and it should be okay.

I went through many other types of light bulb clips, or adapters for this lamp I got without a shade. You either had to have the specific sizing of shade fitting and or lock nut. I kept buying things that didn’t work out and it was frustrating! Then I bought these that just clip right on to the bulb and BAM!! Lamp shade is on.I’m using it with an LED bulb that generates very little heat. I haven’t tried it with a regular bulb yet.
