Review: Fun, Reasonably Priced Hobby Boat - For plain bang for your buck, this boat really cannot be beat. It is well-constructed, fast, and turns on a dime. You really need a good size pond to get the full potential from this boat. It has good range on the remote. The self-righting feature works very well when the boat rolls over. Just hit reverse, hit forward, and hit full throttle and the boat pops right over, even with a heavy 5200 mAh battery in it. The boat has fully proportional throttle control and steering. It has throttle trim adjustment and rudder trim adjustment on the remote control. The result is that you have excellent control over the boat. It also has manually adjustable trim tabs in the back. I bought this for my eight year-old son and with some instruction and help he is able to use it by himself and has a ton of fun with it. It will also keep an adult occupied. The seller's page on desertcart could use some help. This is especially true in the extra battery department. For those that are looking and having a hard time finding what extra battery to buy, then here is the scoop. The boat comes stock with a 2500 mAh 3S 11.1v Lipo battery with an XT60 connector. If you are looking for extra batteries, then my testing came to this conclusion. You can fit an Hoovo 5200 mAh 3S 11.1v Lipo in the boat and still wrap the velcro battery strap about the battery. If you use that battery, then the boat will sag to the left in the water and while running it will tend to make a left-hand loop instead of running straight. This tendency can be fixed by adjusting the rudder trim with the buttons on the remote. With the stock battery the runs straighter and is better balanced, but obviously you are going to have about half the running time. On the stock battery, if you are not full throttle the whole time, you will probably get 10 minutes out of it maybe more. What I would recommend for extra batteries is that you get the Hoovo 2200 mAh 3S 11.1v battery and just have more of them on hand for longer playing time. Another thing to note is that battery hatch does not seal perfectly. I solved this by simply coating the stock battery compartment seal with Dielectric grease. After our outing with the stock battery and 5200 mAh battery, which amounted to about 30 minutes or more of playing around, including 3 different rollovers, we had only a drop or two of water in the motor compartment when sealed with Dielectric grease. Overall, I would say that you will not be disappointed with how it comes out of the box and with a couple extra batteries you or your kids can have loads of fun.

This boat RIPS and has a lot more potential for more. This boat comes with a 3S lipo battery rated at 2200 mah. The gear is nice — prop is 40mm and is around 1.4” pitch. The adjustment capability is great, offering exceptional stability in the glassy water I initially threw this into. At full speed I was able to make full, sharp turns without flipping this over. The motor is around 3540. On 3s I’d say it runs between 25 - 30 mph. I’m really interested in getting a 4s battery and 1.7” pitch prop to see what I can get out of it. The remote is great, looks and feels fairly good. Does have a low battery alert. I didn’t get too far out — obviously in the video it was a cold day. Maybe later this year I’ll test the range. This boat also came with a variety of tools which is great. The receiver is incased in a plastic mostly sealed container. There’s a bit of foam on the bow. The esc appear pretty loose, not mounted. Battery sits on the same side giving a bit of lean port side. This likely helps with the self righting which worked well when I did test. After a full run including reverse I opened the boat to see no water. What is pictured is a few drops of rain from my day. Overall great entry boat, easy to use, and the lights are a cool party trick.

A: The battery was half charged when production, so there was no enough power for normal sailing. Please full charge the battery before playing to avoid losing.

**Q: The boat stops in the middle of the lake due to low power.**
A: Please do not shut off the controller or operate. Please wait for 3-5 minutes to wait the battery recover gradually, and then sail back the boat at the low speed.

**Q: The boat capsized on the water.**
A: If it still has power, please rotate the throttle forward and backward for several times to turn over the boat.

For plain bang for your buck, this boat really cannot be beat. It is well-constructed, fast, and turns on a dime. You really need a good size pond to get the full potential from this boat. I bought this for my eight year-old son and with some instruction and help he is able to use it by himself and has a ton of fun with it. It will also keep an adult occupied. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best RC boat for the money

I was sceptical at first but now that I own one my scepticism is gone. This RC boat is fast stock out of the box but I made it a little faster, I did the aluminum upgrades, run a 45mm-1.9p prop and changed the angle of the "trim/plane plates" from the stock 90° angle to about an 86° angle and I use 3s, 3200mah, 80c lipo battery. This boat is fast, easy to control, very responsive and very very fun to drive. I give this Arrow 5 RC boat 2 thumbs up. I have had this boat for over a year now and still love it, after a few more modifications this boat now does well over 40mph and with the slight face lift I gave it I am more than satisfied. The orange boat pics are the face lift.
