Komomo Confiserie, Vol. 2 (2)

I think my favorite part of this series so far is seeing what Komomo learns in each said volume. She's really grown so much from when we first met her! And what d'ya know, even Natsu has grown too! (Though uncertain of how. Nicer maybe?)I really liked how Rise and Komomo have become friends and just how they are building one another up. Komomo may be very naive on things (definitely NOT dizzy, just naive), but she still gives all her support to Rise and encourages her the best way she can.Rise really won some brownie points in how she helped Komomo have an unexpected breakthrough on a certain idea. Natsu won some brownie points for doing the same with Komomo too, BUT!I didn't fully understand some of his reasonings pertaining to a certain situation. I think it's obvious he cares for her, but Komomo hasn't begun to fully realize this so maybe that’s why?We meet a new character and I think he's cool! I like him! I don't think there is anything there (at least there better not be!), but I've enjoyed hearing his story.Ahhh that cliffhanger though! *sigh* I already ordered the third volume and it should be here within a few days, but it’s a few days too long! LOL!Hopefully GOOD things happen and we see romantic progress in the next volume because I felt like this volume was the two steps forward, three steps back volume. LOL!Fun story and very enjoyable!

Love it. Minami-sensei is great! I love the art, and the writing! I love her other work, Special A, and I have waiting for more by her for a while now! This series is playful with a tiny dose of darkness. Bullying is a main theme to the story that takes different forms. The characters seem to be on a path to resolve, and grow from their experiences on either side of the bully-fence, if you will.

~4/5Now that Komomo has made friends with Kaname, her previous bully, they’ve grown close. Kaname is in a similar position as what Komomo was in her previous life, and they’ve bonded over that. Kaname confesses her love to a guy with Komomo’s help, and then they set up a double date.Komomo has never been on a date before, having believed that she was still in an arranged marriage, and is excited for this new experience. Some things go wrong, but Komomo still keeps her optimism and tough front. Komomo is now wanting to fall in love, even if it’s with Natsu.I just love Minami’s stories at this point. The way Natsu humors and torments Komomo is so funny to me, and I love his possessiveness over her as well. I also appreciate the way that Komomo stands up for herself and what she believes in. Her strength and honesty is admirable.I love this series, the humor and the characters and just everything about it.
