Awesome Grinder
We've been using the Maker X as a family now since we got it for Christmas. It's such a versatile tool...my kids love it for all of their craft projects. I added the grinder attachment for a few of my own metal refinishing projects, including a couple of outdoor furniture pieces I'm prepping for spring. The grinder, like the entire Maker X system, has worked fantastically. So lightweight, easy to maneuver in tight places - perfect power and performance.

Big Power, Small Space
I recently added this Angle Grinder to my Maker X set. It really has completed my crafting toolkit and I am SO excited to try out all the different things it can do. I’m an avid crafter/maker, but live in a small space, so I don’t have room for large power tools so this has been a game changer. I can still do all my projects without the hassle of clunky tools, PLUS It works with the same batteries as my other worx tools. Simple, powerful, and perfect for my small craft needs (recently made some holiday signs, next up some candle holders!)

Solid idea but rechargeable dremel can do more.
Purchased for 3d plastic printing and custom mini fabrications. This tool can not cut even the lightest of metals, aluminum, to trim screws to proper length nor can it sand or grind anything requiring any force.. This tool stops with even the lightest of resistances, too late to return so I am stuck with this tool. If you need a portable mini cut off tool like this one look up Dremels version just release for 80 USD or grab a dremel rechargeable kit as they outperform in ever way... if Works wants to send me one of these updated to actually have so.e power I will consider revising. Otherwise the tool is not worth buying g at all.

Great for small jobs
This grinder is not real powerful but is great for small jobs when access to electricity or a compressor is limited. It is very small and easy to maneuver in small areas.

Weak
The media could not be loaded. Edit:After using this product more, I've found it works much better at full speed. It still stalls but not nearly as much. I have changed my rating to 3 stars.I like the MakerX rotary tool so I was excited to try this one. However, I quickly noticed that this tool is underpowered and stalls a lot. You have to be gentle with this tool! A small amount of pressure will stall it out. See my video. I am sending this one back as I believe it is a design flaw since another person complained about the same thing in their Amazon review. Also, changing wheels is a hassle since it is a hex cap bolt which means you have to unscrew and screw it each time you change wheels. It would have been better if it was designed like a regular angle grinder. I do like the slim design and ergonomics though. Really disappointed with this one. Don't buy it.

Great for Small projects... This is not your standard angle grinder.
As others have mentioned, when using the cut off tool, this things stalls under a load. I found myself having to be careful how much pressure I put on it. I purchased it because I have the Power Hub (which you will need to purchase separately to for this tool to work) and needed something portable to cut some chain link fence in my yard... This was cheaper than buying a larger more powerful angle grinder. If you don't need to cut thought anything super thick and you don't use an angle grinder on a regular basis then this would be a good purchase. That was my case it worked find. I also found some uses for the grinding wheel which worked really well. (Sharpened an ax and ground down some sharp edge on and old fire pit.)

Perfect 5 star purchases. A real hit!
Perfect and a real hit for this Christmas! Buy this you won’t be disappointed for real. I generally don’t write reviews but had to for this product!

Do not buy unless you will modify
So I originally bought the combo set with battery, controller and the angle grinder and rotary tool. Im a maker and this set looked like a portable kit that I could use. The concept is great, but Worx needs to rethink the speed controller. Out of the box, the rotary tool and grinder STALL constantly with the slightest bit of resistance and to reset you have to power off and on the control unit. Im not the only one having the issue, so it seems to be across the board.I sent the kit back and then decided to order just the tool and modify it. Turns out the tool itself was NOT the problem. It is the Electronic speed controller worx has in it. If you are a tinkerer, you can easily buy a cheap 3 phase electronic speed controller off amazon and put together your own control unit. I 3d printed a dewalt (i use dewalt for everything else) battery cradle and wired that 20v to the amazon speed controller. I ripped out the ESC which is actually not on the control unit, but in the tool itself and wired it to the amazon ESC...The tool has BALLS now. Never Stalls, grinds, cuts and sands anything. The brushless motor is powerful, I just wish worx would have made the electronics as good as the motor. Buy with caution unless you will modify yourself.
