Mosin Nagant Postwar M44 and Chinese Type 53"Range Buddy Front Sight Adjustment Tool

I accidentally forced it too much and bent the bolt. I contacted the owner I believe and he sent me another one free of charge and one with a stronger bolt. I did have to take my gun to a Smith to get it loosened. After that I was able to adjust my sights at the range. Please note this is for the M44 and T53.

I bought this because it was the only one I could find that fits the M44. The thing mars up the sight and because it is alumi-dum it flexes causing the bolt to slip when trying to tighten it up snug. This causes it to unalign from the dovetail and forces it to push on the sight base and the movable part of the sight messing both of them up. The bolt also has a divot in the tip leaving a circular score mark with a nipple in the middle of it. This thing would be better if the part had a brass cap on it or a bearing tip that did not rotate on the surface so it would stop the bolt from gouging the crap out of the surface.SKIP USING THIS! Just stick with a brass punch, a vice, and a good hammer. I regret buying this. Now I have to sand out the divots and re-blue the sight.

tool looked to be made ok but would not move the sight on my mosin. had to use a punch and hammer to do job.

A great tool. Worked better than expected and I recommend it.
