All I know is that it's a full-size replica that captures the aesthetic of some sword in some anime that bridges cosplay and basic sword training better than most other options. It’s 104 cm (about 41 inches) overall and I’m rating it at 5 stars because, for the price (for me it was around $42.79 with tax) it is just an amazing training tool.I use it five days a week to casually practice drawing, sheathing, performing basic movements, and gentle one-on-one techniques. I don’t do any cosplay, but it would look and feel like a real sword when walking around or taking pictures. For practice, I've used it in my house (we have high ceilings) and backyard for drills. The dull edge makes it forgiving for beginners, and unlike my wooden bokken, the metal provides a more realistic weight.I like black, and this black finish arrives sleek and understated, perfect if you're not into the brighter colors available in the other sword styles.
