They do a lot of entertaining, and food prep. My brother also makes his own jerky year round. They love these knives! A year later another gift of the boning and birds beak paring knives, also a big hit. I purchased my 1st ones over 2 years ago, and they get regular use. I insist on using sharp knives, as they are safer. I have sharpened mine maybe 3 times over the 2+ years. I also hand wash. All of them, including the gifted knives are holding up extremily well with minimal maintenence. I'm getting ready to order the steak knife set without hesitation. Review: Love It - Best knife ever.
