Best gate for top of stairs
Easy to install - the template works very well and the instructions are clear. This gate is ideal for the top of the stairs as there is no bottom bar to trip over. In use it locks and unlocks very smoothly, completely baby safe. Would have preferred a version in black.

Took me four hours of struggling
This was very difficult to put together, mainly getting the plastic caps on the hinge mechanism. Drove me mad! I ended up cracking a bit of plastic and screwing and unscrewing the same screws so many times when adjusting that one screw has completely lost its thread and cannot be removed for future adjustment. The plastic hinges seem fragile to me. I don't expect them to last long, but it is a cheap product.
