Great value on a reliable HD
This is a great price on a reliable large capacity drive. Can you hear it? Yes you can, it's not an ssd and not silent. Sometimes it makes more noise then others but overall it's not bad. Unless its in your bedroom and you have it busy working all night I can't imgine what little noise it makes would be annoying. I bought 2 to try out. I've only used one so far but I'm happy with it and will be installing the other soon. I'll probably buy another 2. For those that say it came doa...umm... Yeah it does, sorta. It comes unformatted. It's useless until you format it. If that's a problem for you then either research how to format a HD or buy a different product that comes formatted to your desired specs. It's not difficult to format a drive though.....you can do it

Great hard drives for the price!
Ordered 4 of these for my TrueNAS Server, at first I thought one was DOA, since it kept causing my storage pool to become degraded, but I figured out that it was either a PSU failure, or a loose SATA cable. After sorting that out, these drives are working perfectly.

Loud but they do what they are intended to do.
Great value! Does the job its intended to do. Only real complaint is its LOUD..way louder then all my other drives but that's a minor issue. We ha e 2 now and both are plugging away. How do I know? Because I can hear them from across the room! Lol.

4tb hard drive us my go to hard drive.
Good balance of siorage size vs cost. Not crazy expensive with more than enough storage space. Perfect size for a 4 or 5 drives NAS.

Good for a small nas system
I bought four of these for a nas. They come very well packaged and function properly out of the box. I have never had any problems buying renewed enterprise drives from Amazon as I have two in my main system as well.

Doa. Bad harddrives sale. Not trustworthy
Took a chance on these HD. First one arrived DOA. HD just keeps ticking and would not register with Disk management or any other software partitioned. Requested an exchange, thought it may just be a mistake or coincidence. 2nd arrived DOA again. This the HD makes loud crashes when power up. Forget about using disk manager on the drive. This time requested refund, two chances is all these drives get from me. Don't have the time to keep doing exchanges and can't trust the drives from this sales to be dependable now or future. DONT BUY.

So Far so Good
This 4TB 7200RPM hard disk drive is being used for Surveillance recording in a 8 channel DVR. I haven't had any issues with this hard drive writing and reading data, I do have it in a cooler environment to prevent overheating.I typically don't like paying much for Hard drives, especially when I am using them for the worst possible job you could hire a hard drive to do, Video Surveillance. I am expecting the drive to fail at some point, thus I choose to buy low cost models. For the price, this hard drive is a great purchase!
