Very tight
These shirts are what I was looking for a base layer for my outdoor walks. However they run small. Definitely recommend going a size up. If it wasn't such a hassle I would have exchanged for a large

sleeves are far too small for the body size
I like how thin Active Basics cotton t-shirts are. They are perfect for sleeping and running. In the past I have ordered xxl because that was the only size available other than xs. I normally wear a Medium. While most of the body of the xxl fit slightly loosely, the neck was ENORMOUS on me, fitting more like a plunging scoop than a crew. So I figured I'd size up by one this time, and get Large. But Amazon explicitly told me that I should order a Medium this time, so I did, thinking that Active Basics might have changed their sizing. I have to return them. The body fits close but comfortably as expected, but the sleeves are so tight that it's a little annoying, and they can't be pushed up to the elbow at all (an absolute requirement when I get hot).

Runs Really Small
I generally wear Large tees (I’m 5’9” and 140 lbs.) and ordered this Large expecting it to be snug, based on the other reviews. However, it was more like a small Medium, or just plain Small. I looked like a sausage. The ones I received also had more of a scoop neck, rather than crew. Seems like a good quality tee, just way undersized.

Nice, but size up
These are super fitted. Id go a size up if you dont plan on hand washing and line drying.

Good Price But Fabric-fussy Types Might Not Love
Let's face it. The price is right. If you are the kind of person that likes soft-to-the-touch fabric, these aren't for you. I've read other reviews. I'm not sure if I got the kind folks like or not. The point is that there is no guarantee of what kind of fabric you're going to get. That being said, I'm skinny (5'6", 105 lbs, mini boobs) and it's hard to find inexpensive shirts for my size. The small fit me. That never happens. I usually have to scour for XS. If you are busty, be prepared to look like you are in a sausage casing!

Runs small
Size up on these - the small is more like an extra small but I like how thin the material is. Its a good value for the money . perfect for wearing as under shirt

If you're a small person, get the Small - I love these shirts!
If you're a small person, then get the Small. I listened to the "too tight" reviews and bought a set of Large & Medium, which both were too big. I just received the Small, and they are perfect! I am about 100 lbs, 5'1". I'll keep the larger ones because I can wear them around the house, but I can't use them for layering as they will add bulk underneath my clothes, which I do not want. These shirts are for layering, so they are supposed to be close to your body. They are not meant to be a loose t-shirt. If you are happy with your figure and want to show off, you can wear them alone; but if you're not too happy or not looking to show off, you'll want to wear them underneath something. For me, I love them to wear with shrugs, or open cardigan sweaters, or under "summer" shirts and t-shirts. Basically, you can wear your summer clothes all winter if you wear one of these underneath - I love these shirts! If they are loose, they will add bulk under your top layer and you'll look like a stuffed turkey. They are meant to be tight, but comfortable, and these are both! So perfect, and they are stretchy enough and long enough that they don't ride up when you bend! I paid a lot more for shirts like this that ended up getting thrown out because they moved up every time I lifted my arms.Just placed another order for a boatload of different colors. Again - I love these shirts!

Snug
I’m a nurse and I bought these to wear under my scrubs. My scrubs are size small but seeing other reviews, I decided I’d better get large. Large is pretty snug, the fabric is thin but soft. We’ll see how it holds up with wear and wash. Next time I’ll be getting XL.
