Works best with retrofit LEDs
I bought this for a security light, first thing I did was install a retrofit LED bulb due to the power usage of the original bulb, works great, very bright and so long as your siding is white it is often overlooked when not on

Lot of light for little money
These put out a lot of light in the back yard which keeps raccoons and skunks away. I would recommend you hang UNDER the eves of the house to protect from elements. With the rainy weather we get in South Florida, you can expect about 5-6 years before replacing.

bought 2 of these to be used as housings for Ds-2cd2432f-iw Hikvision indoor security cams
I actually bought 2 of these to be used as housings for small Ds-2cd2432f-iw Hikvision indoor security cams. The cams fit perfect. Now I can use the cams as outside cams and not worry about moisture. All is good.As for using these for their intended purpose as outside or yard lights, no, not powerful enough and the bulbs are troublesome, read below. If you need lower power outdoor lights like this, I recommend you go with LED units as these type of lights use a quartz halogen bulb that is very troublesome and burns out quickly.I have two 500 watt quartz halogen yard lights and they do put out a ton of light but the bulbs pop like popcorn and last a few weeks, unless I cover the ends and the receptacles with a lot of dialectic grease to seal out the air and keep it from corroding the metal on the ends of the bulbs. it is a total PITA.~

Bought for parts, upgraded to LED
It turns out that this model has changed over time. I bought this for parts, but my original of the same model had different sized glass & hinges. If looking for parts, be prepared to replace the whole unit. Worked well when all installed. I threw out the halogen & put in a 9W $4 LED from another Amazon seller. Works like a charm & beats paying $80 for the LED version of the same flood. The photo shows the old model with the slightly over sized LED bulb jammed in to the reflector. Works like a charm!

These were well priced and arrived promptly as usual.
I liked that I found them. I was replacing existing sign lighting and could not find them locally.

Flood Lights
I used two of these lights to floodlight the cockpit of my Cabo 45 Sports Express Fisherman as a replacement for the original flood lights that were there from 1998.They work great and give good iillumination for the area. I hope that they stand up to the rigors of a salt water environment.
