Set of 3 Hongdian Fountain Pen Nibs Gold Trim (Fine, Extra Fine and Bent Nib) for Black Forest 1850, 1851, 1861, M2, M1, 1843, 6013, 517D, 517S, 525, 1843 and 920 Series

My Black Forest pen came with extra fine nib. Out of the box it wrote great, but every time I didn't touch it for several days, it would take a good effort to get it to start writing again. I almost returned these as there were no instructions and it wouldn't fit. I figured out that the front separated from back part but the nib unscrew separately.

I really enjoyed my pen when I first got it. It came with a medium nib. It was great. I decided to get this package of different sized Nibbs. I have tried the “F“ fine nib. My penmanship improved dramatically. Not much of a line variation, but that’s not what this nib is for. Great handwriting and terrific Ink flow. Would buy again

These are great for trying out some different nib sizes without having to buy an entire new pen. Also nice for when you need to soak a nib for changing ink colors without having to wait while you do that.

Good replacement nibs, originally ordered two Hongdian black forest fountain pens for ink drawings, one medium and one extra fine. The extra fine neb broke pretty easily, and the difference between the fine/extra fine and the medium is not particularly extreme. I bought this three pack of medium nibs and it was a good choice. The medium nibs last a good while, and having color options is very nice. No issues installing new nib into pen with broken one (I read somewhere that the company will replace the pen if the nib won’t come out so apparently that happens). I would recommend emptying the pen of ink before removing the nib, as it can create a messy experience. Also a good idea to run a q-tip through the nib holder while it’s out, pens seem very easy to clean/service. New nibs write great!

They have worked as expected with no problems as of yet. The EF tip is just a tiny bit 'scratchy' but doesn't detract from the writing experience.

I have nothing but good things to say about these.- They're pretty well made, as far as I've been able to tell ( Haven't had any issues with them )- The bent tip nib is my favorite of the bunch as it allows one to go from fine to wide strokes. ( Depending on the angle you use while writing... )- I found swapping out the nibs pretty easy and straight forward.- For the price, I think you'd have a hard time finding a better "bang for your buck"

I initially wrote a review (below) that the nibs do not work with the pen that I purchased from the same vendor. I had watched the video on changing the nibs but it did not work on my pen. I have later found that it does actually work, but that the converter portion was screwed on SO TIGHT that it was very difficult to remove the first time (nothing as easy as shown in the video!)I did not give better than 3 stars on this because in order to change the nibs you have to actually grasp the nib itself and twist. This not only causes an inky mess but it risks damaging the nib that you are taking off.(original post) Not only do the nibs not fit the pen I purchased but looking at the (presumably updated) description of the Black Forest pen, it now includes an adapter part that was not included in my pen purchase. Waste of money as is. I would like to request that the store send me the components that would make the pen compatible, but there is not 'contact us' option on the store page.
