It got to the point where I couldn't function anymore. I was advised to buy some specialist insoles with the metatarsal bump. I got these ones, and a different pair, made of silicone, which are thicker, which makes them more difficult to put in shoes than these. These worked very well. The bump is very high up on these insoles, but it does spread the toes out a little, and really helps. I can now walk around again, and they helped reduce the swelling on my foot. They are quite slim, and easy to cut down, so they fit into nearly all my shoes. I just replaced the insole already in the shoe with these. They are a tiny bit slippy, even in bare feet, so it is easy to slide my painful foot into trainers with laces. My foot doesn't move around, because the heel cup keeps it in place. I definitely recommend them, and will get another pair when finances allow. Review: New lease of life for shoes. .... and feet. - These are fabulous. Have transformed several pairs of shoes from barely useable to very comfortable.
