Does nothing except let the bread get stale faster.
Not sure what bags these other people got but these do nothing. If anything the bread goes stale faster. Two fresh baguettes both stale all the way thru in less than 24 hours in the bag. Worthless.

Good bags.
Well made bag. We have found that wrapping the bread in wax paper and using these bags keeps the bakery bread fresher for an extra 2-3 days.

Gift for a Friend who Loves Them!
I purchased this item for a friend who loves baking bread. She absolutely adores these linen bags — not only are they beautiful, but they function really well.

Bags are too small and not frankly effective
I have to say that I am very disappointed with these bags. After washing them, they shrunk. I know I make pretty large loaves of bread but they are not fitting in the bag by a wide margin.I was able to use it at some point with a smaller loaf and it did not do anything to preserve it.Now, to be perfectly honest, bread, especially made without preservatives will go stale pretty quickly. The only thing I found that slows this down greatly is to freeze it if possible with a full crust (no slicing).Apart from that, bread bags are usually just for transport from the bakery to your home.Last let's look at the claims and my rating will based on it:- A Natural Breathable Fabric to Extends the Life of Your Bread. Meh... I think the fibers are too loosely knitted for it to work well. Fail.- Looks Great in Any Style - From Farmhouse to Modern. Maybe but I am not truly convinced. After washing, the bags are all wrinkled and ugly. Fail.- Keeps the Outside Crunchy and the Inside Soft. This one is true but by default. The only thing that makes crust soft and mushy is to keep your bread in a plastic bag. Keeping your bread in a towel or a paper bag will achieve the same results of preserving the crust. In conclusion:I am really not convinced and because of the smallish size, I cannot use it for the loaves I bake.2 stars.

Good Bread Storage Bags
These are good bread storage bags. They do keep bread from becoming gummy like in a plastic bag. The bread does get a bit hard so I often wrap my bread in parchment & then put inside the bag. The fabric is a loose weave. My no-knead bread boule fits great with room to spare and the baguette bag holds a long baguette.Make sure to wash these before using. I hand washed/hung dry & the water was a cloudy tan color – probably starch from the factory.

Very loose weave
These bags have a surprisingly loose weave, almost burlap. The drawstring also doesn't completely close the bag, and I'm concerned it may wear out over time.Otherwise, the bags are reasonably well made, with a rustic French kitchen vibe. How well they keep bread probably depends on your climate.I suggest washing before use, inasmuch as when I did that (in a kitchen bowl) my water wound up very cloudy.
