Heavy Weight Thick Leather 7-8oz Cow Skins Crafting Tooling Leather Square Genuine Leather (6"x12")

My leather arrived today for my project. I am making a cover for an old hatchet I found in an antique store. The leather is beautiful, almost too to cut up. The thickness is perfect, the rich red-brown color is exactly what I hoped for. Most important, it is from the back of the steer so it will hold up to rough handling and maintain the rich lustre throughout use. I have several other leather projects planned and this will be my "go-to" supplier.I certainly recommend this product and supplier to all.

really stiff leather. Needs to be oiled/conditioned before you can use it.

This piece was thin and looked more like a soft shoe leather. Not at all what I wanted or expected.Could not cut it with a sharp knife and it would not buff out. Too stringy and became a mess. Tossed the whole thing.

This product worked fine for me !! I was making knife scabbards with rough side out — when I folded the leather I noticed the dye side got a discoloration — started rubbing in it and die started coming off — so don’t plan on using this on something with color showing — the die is not a deep permanent die !!

I was thinking about going to the leather shop for a repair I looked on Amazon and found the weight and size I needed ,I'm never surprised what I find

Incorrect color!As you can see from my photos, the color is not the dark grey pictured, but instead a rich brown.The leather quality is very good, with zero blemishes, and a consistent thickness...But the wrong color!
