Really fresh herb, good quality.
Starwest Botanicals has slowly become my go-to for organic herbs. I used to only buy herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs and while I still consider them to be a trusted source, I like the speed and freshness of the herbs I'm receiving from Starwest. This package of Hawthorn Leaves & Flowers is being made into a tincture form for heart health (strengthening the heart muscle), blood pressure, emotional balance, relaxation, improved blood flow, immune system boost, anxiety reducer, emotional balance and grounding, etc. I'll be processing the berries separately then blending the two for added benefits. The quality of the herb is really good. It smells fresh and has good color and size. I can't say a lot about the taste as I make my herbs into tincture instead of teas so I can extract all the healing properties in my Apothecary, then blend as needed. Hawthorn is really good at getting rid of infections in the intestines as well. It's an all-around good herb to use for most people. Of course, I'm not a doctor and you should always check with your health care provider before starting any homeopathic remedy.
