These are awesome

Great flatware.

...but then what I was expecting was unreasonable. I bought these because, back in the 60s, we travelled a great deal on American Airlines, and their silverware was this really handsome brushed nickel hammered look. I thought maybe I could relive my childhood by buying these. They aren't quite the same, they're much shinier, but close enough. Would not hesitate to recommend.

While the box arrived well packaged and undamaged from Amazon, the silverware itself was not in great shape. One spoon was completely caved in on the side like it had been hit by a hammer. The entire set was scratched and scuffed. If it weren't for the fact that the silverware arrived in its original packaging, I'd assume this set had already been used and heavily abused by some other person. However, since many of the pieces were in sealed plastic and still had deep scratches and scuffs, I can only assume this is the result of poor quality control on the part of Oneida.Given that this is not marketed (or priced) as some cheap flatware set either on Amazon or Oneida's website, I expected more from Oneida than what I received. I have returned the silverware and will look at different manufacturers. I'm disappointed by this experience and do not believe I will consider Oneida for any future kitchen or dinnerware purchases.

So, I do really like this set. They look beautiful and the weight is just right. But...they rust in the dishwasher. I was expecting better for over $100. The forks and spoons do ok if you dry them off right away, but for some reason the knives will just be covered in rust spots if they are wet for more than a few minutes. So far I’ve been able to clean them up with Barkeeper’s Friend but the hammered texture makes it kind of a pain in the a$$. If it weren’t for the rust spots this would easily be a 5-star set.

Pretty obvious this is not a hammered finish in the provided photo. When we asked for a replacement they told me to take it up with Amazon because it had been less than 30 days????Bottom line is Oneida did not deliver what we asked for and what they claimed they were selling.The correct ones are amazing but it ends there.Be careful.

Almost 1/2 of the pieces had some kind of defect. Scratches, gouges, or sharp edges. Had to send them back for a refund. Thank goodness we purchased from Amazon, so the return was easy.

Our previous set of Oneida (Juliard) lasted over 25 years! It was the higher quality Oneida. We purchased the Chef's Table Hammered Set thinking it would be great - NOPE! It was only a week before we started seeing rust on the knives. The knives also barely cut butter! We have returned it and are replacing with the higher quality hammered set - Cabria. Hopefully it will last like our previous set.

At a local restaurant we had noticed how nice their cutlery was. Checked for the brand on Amazon and found them! We both have large hands and oftentimes find cutlery to be too small, with fork handles uncomfortable in our palms. Not these ones! We found the soup spoons to be on the small side (somewhere a little larger than a regular spoon and smaller than a soup spoon), however everything else is great, including the serving cutlery. Found these at the Bay for $80 more. These are high quality cutlery and are exactly what I was looking for.
