Do you have a repeatable investing process to help you manage your portfolio in arguably the most uncertain market environment in history? With 47.25 million unemployment claims in the US aloneโฆ Household names like Hertz, Neiman Marcus and J.C. Penney declaring bankruptcyโฆ And the Fedโs balance sheet now sitting at over $7 Trillionโฆ A full blown recession is now a matter of when, and not if. Now, the average person losses 33% of their wealth in a recession. And in the 2008 financial crisis, the stock market dropped a whopping 57% in just 2 years. Which means if youโre relying on the market, or a pension fund for your nest egg. You need to be prepared for what is coming. Fortunately, inside this book we lay out the straight facts ( spoiler alert: there is no V-shaped recovery). As well as giving you practical advice on how to protect, and even growth your wealth in a recession. Because, in the seed of crisis, comes great opportunity. And investing legend Porter Stansberry (who correctly predicted the demise of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and General Motors) said this about the current times weโre in. โNow is an unbelievable opportunity to establish a position in high-quality 'forever' businessesโ Hereโs just a fraction of what youโll discover inside: If you currently have even a single ounce of gold or silver stored in a bank safe deposit box, it is at risk of being legally confiscated by the US government. This sounds absurd but itโs happened before. Read why on page 94 How to get all the protection of owning US Government bonds with nothing more than your regular brokerage account โ Page 134 2 โbeginner friendlyโ low-risk options strategies to protect your portfolio and gain extra monthly income โ Page 142 The #1 asset to own during a market crash. And no, itโs not gold, silver or Bitcoin. โ Page 137 Are you making this Gold buying mistake? You should never buy gold this way, but itโs exactly what most new investors do โ Page 90 How to avoid getting swindled by the next Bernie Madoff. The 4 tell-tale signs of fraudulent investment operators โ Page 157 The โbargain hunterโ problem. How ordinary investors lost over $500 million betting on oil prices. And how you can avoid the same fate โ Page 74 The #1 Gold Investment you can make today. During the last gold bull market this investment grew more than 500%. This time itโs poised to go even higher โ Page 93 Should you include cryptocurrency in your portfolio? If yes, which ones? โ Page 139 The 3 industries hit hardest in a bear market. If too much of your portfolio is in these sectors, youโre at risk of massive losses โ Page 122 One thing every investor should know about inverse ETFs โ Page 113 How the โWarren Buffett of Short Sellingโ makes his investments โ Page 43 A unique way to buy your favorite blue chip stocks like Coca-Cola, Microsoft or desertcart at massive discounts โ Page 63 โฆand much, much more. Plus $135 worth of free bonuses inside. Weโre not doom and gloomers, but we are realists. These next 18-24 months are not going to be pretty. And millions of ordinary people will be left behind. Just like in 2000, when the dotcom bubble burst. But with smart asset allocation, and strategic investment decisions, you can weather the storm, and come out ahead when this is all over. This is not a dense, theory-packed book with no practical advice. Written in plain English, it only contains strategies that you can implement with your regular brokerage account. So if youโre serious about your wealth. Then this book is a no-brainer. The decisions youโll make as a result of reading it will pay for the book 10x over. A new way of looking at bear markets!
This book was invaluable for taking the sting out of the inevitable bear markets we'll all face in our investing lifetimes and showing ways to actually embrace and view them as actual opportunities for successful investment. The onion concept (Chapter 3) was particularly fascinating for me and further proof that your Cousin Larry is not an investing genius because he watches CNBC all day, but instead, how to approach investing in a bear market with a rational mindset - start from inside the onion with company 10-K filings and move progressively outward toward press releases, earnings calls and analysts reports before reaching the mainstream media/Cousin Larry level. It's the exact reverse of what most individual investors do. This book is VERY accessible - very easy to read. It's not full of investing or financial jargon that isn't first explained and it does a really great job of mixing both macro and microeconomic points of view as it pertains to business cycles and recessions which we've all been witness to. It's a delicate balance, but they've really succeeded there.

sound advice for trying times
I am an experienced investor, with more than 20 years in the market, and have profited handsomely from my investments. Although I have read about investing extensively, I still found this book to be fresh and new and valuable. It reinforces some key ideas, like reading the 10-Ks and especially the notes, where all the secrets are buried, while, at the same time, warning me that the 10-Qs are not audited. Somehow, I didnโt think about that. While the book dives into details in places, there is also a lot here for the new investor. The approach is to invest carefully, taking into account your area of competence, and not fall for the incessant advice from social media, on-line analysts, and your favorite uncle. As I write, four months after New York City locked down due to COVID, I really needed the sensible, believable, pragmatic approach in this book. There is so much fear and uncertainty in the market right now, and the talking heads are out in force. The authors explain the gold market, some of the cryptocurrency stuff, a few useful option strategies, as well as more traditional strategies such as buying stock in defensive sectors. There are some great recommendations for ETFs as well. I feel better about my portfolio already.

A Thoughtful Guide Through the Tempest of Markets
In a world where fortunes rise and fall with the caprice of circumstance, Freeman Publicationsโ Bear Market Investing Strategies provides the reader with a measured and prudent compass. The text is thorough, presenting thirty-seven distinct avenuesโranging from inverse ETFs to gold, from put options to the enigmatic realm of cryptocurrencyโwith clarity and a careful regard for both opportunity and risk. One cannot help but admire the diligent effort in translating complex financial instruments into counsel accessible to the earnest and disciplined investor. Yet, despite its considerable virtues, the book at times assumes a familiarity that may daunt the novice. Certain strategies, while promising, are sketched with brevity that demands independent study beyond these pages. Nevertheless, the work is a valuable companion for those seeking to navigate economic turbulence with foresight and reason. It is a book that encourages reflection, patience, and cautious optimism, qualities as essential in finance as in life itself. Four stars, for it illuminates a challenging path with prudence and insight, even if it cannot fully smooth the inevitable obstacles along the way.

Good high level research
For the common investor, there leaves a lot to go through and understand without too many formulas provided. Again, good background but lacks here's what to do

Fantastic! A must read, then read again
This book was an educational experience. Well written and laid out, easy to follow, and made somewhat difficult material easily understood (options). It contains plenty of excellent historic references and takeaways, and a variety of tools and strategies to seek new opportunities in challenging economic times. This will be a reference moving forward and I'll be doing so with far more confidence thanks to this book.

Level-Headed Advice
This book really cuts through the weeds and gets down to the business of making money -- and more importantly, how to NOT lose your shirt! - in a bear market. Stay calm, practice due diligence, make sure you understand what a company does or how a mutual fund or ETF really works before buying. Stop-loss orders, etc., this book covers it all. A solid book, largely devoid of overly technical terms, written so the layman can understand and learn from it.

Informative
I bought this book because I am investing the stock market and like everyone else I am not sure what to do. I was happy to see that this was not a come on to invest in xyz but rather an informational guide. Some of it was over my ahead but most of what I read was very helpful. I will be referring to it regularly in the future.
